Aqueduct Winter Meet Closes With All Stakes Card

Although the Aqueduct meet technically ends on Sunday, Saturday is where the attention will be. The 10 race card contains nothing but stakes races.

Post: 1:20 PM ET; Purse: $75,000 Xtra Heat S., 6 1/2 Furlongs on Dirt; Entries: 7

• #2 ITS COLD IN DEHERE (7-5) will likely have the stamina to outlast these in the final jumps of the race.
• #5 SHESALITTLE EDGY (5-2) is worth a look here given edges in connections & race flow.
• #4 EASY TO BLESS (3-1) looks like a legitimate contender in today’s race given the edge in a number of key categories including speed & class.
• #1APRAIRIE FIRE (8-1) should be in the right spot early to give this horse a chance to get the job done.

Post: 1:52 PM ET; Purse: $45,000 Belle Gallantey S., 7 Furlongs on Dirt; Entries: 7

• #4 WITCH HUNTER (3-5) barring a horrible turn of racing luck, this one looks like about as much of a lock as they come.
• #2 FIRST FOREVER (5-1) goes out for solid connections.
• #3 INDIAN BELLA (7-2) is in good form of late, but runs against a monster here.
• #5 SNIFF (8-1) has the 2nd best speed figures in the group and makes sense underneath.

Aqueduct Race 3

Post: 2:23 PM ET; Purse: $55,000 Kelly Kip S., 6 Furlongs on Dirt; Entries: 8

• #1 DARK MONEY (4-5) looks tough to beat here given the edge in a number of key categories including speed & class. This one is another seemingly slam dunk, though best bet is a relative term because the other likeliest winner may leave the gate at 1-5.
• #2 BELLE TAPISSERIE (6-1) should be on the engine early. Maybe this one can get a merry-go-round and hang on for a piece.
• #4 HIGH FIVE COTTON (12-1) should have the ability outlast these if the track is tiring which it can be during this meet.
• #6 TAPIZEARANCE (7-2) has to be respected based on the connections.

Aqueduct Race 4

Post: 2:54 PM ET; Purse: $60,000 Sis City S., 1 Mile on Dirt; Entries: 9

• #1 FOXTAIL (10-1) is my upset special on the card. This one is in with a great chance based on the horse's class & race flow.
• #7 HONEY MONEY (3-1) is worth a look here given edges in record at the distance & form.
• #8 CUSTOMEREXPERIENCE (1-1) merits consideration in this spot given edges in speed & power rating.
• #4 DARIA'S ANGEL (6-1) wouldn't be a huge surprise in the winner's circle but is more likely an underneath player.

• #8 HAMMERIN AAMER (4-1) is proven as a good bet to at least hit the board under today's distance and surface conditions.
• #6 FAST BREAK (8-1) has to be respected based on the connections.

• #2 SUPREME AURA (8-1) merits consideration in this spot given edges in stamina & connections.
• #9 BRILLIANT BROOKS (9-2) is proven as a good bet to at least hit the board under today's distance and surface conditions.
