Aqueduct Friday: Turf Season Wraps, Comely Analysis

The Friday card from Aqueduct features the Comely and 3 other stakes. Kathleen O., a prominent player on the Oaks trail was installed as the morning line favorite.

• #5 KAYLEIGH'S PRIDE (9-2) should improve off the first start and gets the top selection. She makes sense on speed figures. This one has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.
• #3 JUNIPER'S MOON (2-1) runs evenly and looks to get a very fair pace scenario here. This one has the pedigree to be a major player in this spot.
• #4 MARIA FROM MIAMI (10-1) is a price horse and looks to be the class of the field. This one projects to sit mid pack and come with one run.
• #1 ANISTON (5-2) has to be respected going out for the combination of Pletcher and Ortiz at second asking.

• #2 MOSTLY HARMLESS (3-1) appears to be a major player in this race. She looks to be the class of the field. This one should be sitting in the second tier of runners and looking to make one well timed run at the leaders.
• #5 CANDLESTICK MAKER (3-1) should be competitive in this spot. She goes out for the Levine barn and gets Castellano in the irons. This one has the pedigree to be a major player here.
• #4 TEKILA (3-1) should be competitive in this spot. She has tactical speed and can sit just off the leaders for a stalk and pounce trip.

• #5 SPIKED (4-1) fits this race on speed figures. This one has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
• #6 SPOOKY ROAD (10-1) is a price horse and isn't without hope, but is more likely to clunk up for a piece than win the race.

• #6 BIG ENGINE (6-1) appears to be a major player in this race. He seems to fit well enough here.
• #1 JALEN JOURNEY (8-1) is one that could outrun the odds, though a win seems a bit far fetched here.

• #2 TEMPLE CITY TERROR (8-5) looks to be the class of the field. This one has the top overall power rating in the group.
• #6 CAPITAL STRUCTURE (5-2) seems to fit well enough here. This one will likely have a lot to do in the lane, but could get up with a competitive run.

• #6 MORNING MATCHA (6-1) will likely have a lot to do in the lane, but could get up with a competitive run. This one has back numbers to win this race.

• #1 VOODOO ZIP (6-1) has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
• #7 CHEWING GUM (12-1) is a price horse and should be competitive in this spot. He makes sense on speed figures and seems to fit well enough here.
