Sunday Full Card Selections
Belmont Park- Race 1
Post: 1:00 PM ET; $55k Claiming going 6 furlongs on turf; Entries: 13
- #8 KLICKITAT (5-2) gets the top selection. He projects to sit mid pack and come with one run. This one has the top overall power rating in the group.
- #6 BUSTIN SHOUT (5-1) should be competitive in this spot. He has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here. This one seems to fit well enough here.
- #9 CASH NOW (9-2) feels like a fringe contender in this spot. He has solid early pace figures in a race that looks to lack a ton of front running speed.
- #7 PROPENSITY (10-1) is a price horse and isn't without hope. He has run against decent enough foes to compete with this group.
Selections: 8 – 6 – 9 – 7
Belmont Park- Race 2
Post: 1:30 PM ET; $41k Claiming going 1 1/16 miles on turf; Entries: 11
- #2 SPLENDID SUMMER (6-5) is the top pick. He will be rolling late and has a good closing kick that could get the job done here. This one has to be respected going out for the combination of Pletcher and Prat.
- #11 GENERAL'S DUTY (8-1) could be in with a shot in this race. He goes out for the Cibelli barn and gets Ortiz in the irons. This one will have to work out a bit of a trip from the 11 post.
- #3 PROVEN HOPE (6-1) feels like a fringe contender in this spot. He has tactical speed and can sit just off the leaders for a stalk and pounce trip.
- #5 BORN A GAMBLER (9-2) isn't without hope. He has tactical speed and can sit just off the leaders for a stalk and pounce trip. The trip should be set up well by the post.
Selections: 2 – 11- 3 – 5
Belmont Park- Race 3
Post: 2:01 PM ET; $105k Allowance Optional Claiming going 1 1/16 miles on dirt; Entries: 6
- #2 VINDICTIVE (1-1) looks best here going out for the combination of Pletcher and Ortiz. Simply put he appears to tower over this field and will be tough to beat.
- #6 EMPTY TOMB (5-1) should be competitive in this spot. He may benefit from a hot pace up front. This one will likely be in the first flight of runners and should be in with a chance late.
- #1 MARKET ALERT (12-1) is a price horse and is coming into the race in really good form. He’s probably more of a board hitter than a win candidate.
- #3 CURLIN'S WISDOM (5-1) is a bit of a class play. He has put in a number of good efforts ahead of this race and should be able to make a good account of himself here.
Selections: 2 – 6 – 1 – 3
Belmont Park- Race 4
Post: 2:32 PM ET; $47k Maiden Claiming going 1 mile on turf; Entries: 15
- #10 ADDRESSABLE MARKET (3-1) gets the top selection. She should be sitting in the second tier of runners and looking to make one well timed run at the leaders.
- #11 NAA DUDETTE (4-1) appears to be a major player in this race. She makes a ton of sense on speed figures.
- #13 GEOMETRIQUE (12-1) is a price horse and should be competitive in this spot. She has races good enough to beat this group. This one will be rolling late and has a good closing kick that could get the job done here.
- #4 TAP IT UP (8-1) could be in with a shot in this race. She will likely be in the first flight of runners and should be in with a chance late. This one may get the advantage of first jump.
Selections: 10- 11- 13- 4
Belmont Park- Race 5
Post: 3:03 PM ET; $38k Maiden Claiming going 6 furlongs on dirt; Entries: 12
- #12 MODERN MIDAS (9-2) is the top pick. He will likely have a lot to do in the lane, but could get up with a competitive run. This one is well bred for this spot.
- #5 TOMMY GUN (7-2) appears to be a major player in this race. He could really benefit from the pace of this race. This one looks to be the class of the field.
- #7 BAD LARRY (3-1) should improve off the first start and has the pedigree to be a major player in this spot. The debut effort makes this one a major threat and a little improvement makes this one very dangerous.
- #1 WOODSIDE WARRIOR (10-1) is a price horse and seems to be running for the minor placings in this contest. He could get the right setup in this race.
Selections: 12- 5 – 7 – 1
Belmont Park- Race 6
Post: 3:34 PM ET; $80k Allowance going 6 furlongs on turf; Entries: 15
- #1A WEEKEND RAGS (7-2) looks best here. She has races good enough to beat this group and should be able to repeat those numbers here.
- #2 U SHOULD B DANCING (12-1) is a price horse and appears to be a major player in this race. She has been facing some really solid foes and can maybe benefit from saving a little ground.
- #5 CAMP AKEELA (6-1) goes out for the Amoss barn and gets Mccarthy in the irons. This one comes into the race in really good form.
- #3 STOLEN FUTURE (4-1) should be competitive in this spot. She has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.
Selections: 1A- 2 – 5 – 3
Belmont Park- Race 7
Post: 4:08 PM ET; $80k Allowance going 1 mile on turf; Entries: 16
- #5 GENERAL BANKER (6-1) gets the top selection. He looks to be the class of the field. This one has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
- #14 MR. KRINGLE (6-1) could be in with a shot in this race. He projects to sit mid pack and come with one run. The big concern with this runner is the wide post.
- #11 MARINARA SAUCED (10-1) is a price horse and makes some sense in this spot. He looks to be the class of the field. This one has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.
- #15 NOBLE HUNTSMAN (10-1) feels like a fringe contender in this spot. He shouldn't have trouble with the 1 mile distance. Like Mr. Kringle, the post will be a major concern.
Selections: 5 – 14- 11- 15
Belmont Park- Race 8
Post: 4:40 PM ET; $175k Vagrancy S. going 6 1/2 furlongs on dirt; Entries: 8
- #6 DR B (5-2) is the top pick. She has races good enough to beat this group. This one has to be respected going out for the combination of Reid and Ortiz.
- #2 ROSSA VELOCE (9-2) should be competitive in this spot. She has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here. She has been in against some good foes and that could have her well prepared here.
- #3 CARAMEL SWIRL (2-1) has shown talent but its hard to know which horse you’re going to get. She is a grade 2 winner and was a runner up in the Ballerina (G1), but finished fourth in a suspect listed stakes at Tampa last out.
- #5 BEGUINE (5-1) could be in with a shot in this race. She has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.
Selections: 6 – 2 – 3 – 5
Belmont Park- Race 9
Post: 5:12 PM ET; $47k Maiden Claiming going 6 furlongs on turf; Entries: 14
- #1 CYNWYD (7-5) looks best here. He has really consistent pace figures which should work well in a moderately paced race. This one has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.
- #13 LUNA WARRIOR (5-2) appears to be a major player in this race. He makes sense on speed figures. This one has to be respected going out for the combination of D'Angelo and Ortiz.
- #14 COVERT KAT (6-1) feels like a fringe contender in this spot. He looks to be the class of the field. This one has a grinding style which may come in handy from the outside post where he will be free from traffic.
- #4 THEREGOESMYMIRACLE (10-1) is a price horse and isn't without hope. He seems to have the stamina to carry speed over the 6 furlongs. He’s not likely to find the winner’s circle, but is worth a look on deeper tickets.
Selections: 1 – 13- 14- 4
