Del Mar will host a win and you’re in for the Breeders’ Cup this weekend. Saturday’s Pat O’Brien will gain the winner entry to the Breeders’ Cup in in November.

• #6 MONOLOGUE (2-1) has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
• #7 ARTHUR SPOONER (6-1) could get the right setup in this race.
• #5 WALL STREET TRADER (5-2) has to be respected going out for the combination of Sadler and Hernandez. This one has races good enough to beat this group.
• #4 STAR ENTRY (15-1) is a price horse who seems to fit well enough here.

• #4 AMERICAN THEOREM (4-1) should be competitive in this spot. He shouldn't have trouble with the 7 furlong distance. The form on this one is solid.
• #7 LAUREL RIVER (5-1) should be part of the early pace in this spot. This one has solid early pace figures in a race that looks to lack a ton of front running speed.
