Bellabel is the morning line favorite in the Grade 2 San Clemente from Del Mar. She is a whopping 4-1 on the morning line suggesting the races is wide open.

Del Mar Thoroughbred Club- Race 1
Post: 2:00 PM PT; $37k Claiming going 6 1/2 furlongs on dirt; Entries: 7
- #2 ESTABLISHED (5-2) gets the top selection. He has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here. This one has races good enough to beat this group.
- #7 HORN OF PLENTY (4-1) appears to be a major player in this race. He could get the right setup in this race. This one comes into the race in good form.
- #1 ITALIANO (3-1) should be competitive in this spot. He may get the absolute dream flow of the race in this spot. This one is definitely dangerous.
- #6 LUCK'S ROYAL FLUSH (3-1) should be competitive in this spot. He shouldn't have trouble with the 6 1/2 furlong distance. This one makes sense on speed figures.

- #7 SHEMAKESCENTS (2-1) gets the top selection. She shouldn't have trouble with the elongated sprint distance. This one may get a really nice trip from the outside draw.
- #1 BIG JOLT (5-2) should be competitive in this spot. Her run style fits the profile of this type of race and she will get to save ground and dictate terms from the rail.
- #6 WARREN'S SHOW BIZZ (5-2) should be competitive in this spot. She has to be respected going out for the combination of Lewis and Hernandez.
- #3 TAP ME A TEXT (6-1) feels like a fringe contender in this spot. She goes out for Fincher and Maldonado which makes her worth a look if the price is right.

- #14 WARRENS CANDY GIRL (12-1) gets the top selection at a healthy price. She goes out for the Lewis barn and gets Hernandez in the irons. This one may get the right trip here.
- #3 AGREETODISAGREE (10-1) should be competitive in this spot. She makes sense on speed figures. This one has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.
- #11 FEATHERS (8-1) should be competitive in this spot. Her speed figures put her in with a shot here. The pace may work to her advantage as well.
- #1 SELF ISOLATION (6-1) should be competitive in this spot. She is a good bet to hit the board in this type of race.

- #3 OTTER POP (6-1) gets the top selection. She has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts. This one could get the right setup in this race.
- #11 HALOSNHEAVEN (5-2) could be in with a shot in this race. She has to be respected going out for the combination of Baffert and Hernandez.
- #1 RIGHT REASONS (6-1) is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. She wouldn’t be a total surprise in the winner’s circle but feels like one that is going to have to get better.
- #4 SPICYBUG (6-1) is another outsider. This one feels harder to find than the others, but should be in the mix of horses contending to hit the board.

- #3 HANDY DANDY (7-2) gets the top selection. He has races good enough to beat this group. This one is worth a look going out for the combination of Miller and Hernandez.
- #4 BEEF WINSLOW (6-1) could be in with a shot in this race. He goes out for the O'Neill barn and gets Cedillo in the irons.
- #8 DEGREE OF RISK (10-1) isn't without hope. He shouldn't have trouble with the 1 1/16 mile distance. This one may get the absolute dream flow of the race in this spot.
- #2 LUCKY BOSS (8-1) isn't without hope. He makes sense on speed figures and should take a liking to the pace setup in this race.

- #1 SUPERMAN SHAQ (6-1) is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. He looks to be the class of the field. This one has the perfect run style for this type of race and may just get the perfect trip here.
- #6 TOM BOMBADIL (4-1) is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. He goes out for the Ellis barn and gets Maldonado in the irons.
- #11 SONIC BREES (5-1) seems like the top that is running for the minor placings. He has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts and shouldn't have trouble with the 6 1/2 furlong distance.

- #4 LOYAL TO A FAULT (5-1) gets the top selection. She has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts. This one has been really solid lately and should be ready to run a big one here.
- #3 CHOLLY (4-1) appears to be a major player in this race. The morning line suggests the word is out on this runner that there is potential here. Watch the tote board on this one in the first few flashes to see if there is positive or negative signal.
- #8 YVONNE'S MISS (4-1) feels like a fringe contender in this spot. She may get the absolute dream flow of the race in this spot. This one has the pedigree to be a major player in this spot.
- #7 FUN MONEY (7-2) feels a bit overvalued on the morning line. She has to be respected going out for the combination of O'Neill and Hernandez. The human connections may be the main reason for the short price.

- #5 ROYAL HALO (10-1) feels like a fringe contender in this spot. He has races that fit with this group and is eligible to improve ahead of breaking the maiden.
- #9 CHARBONNEAU (6-1) isn't without hope. This one feels like a wait and see. The morning line feels right. A shorter price at post means there could be buzz. A longer price likely means this one isn’t expected to do much.

- #1 QUATTROELLE (12-1) appears to be a major player in this race. She has the perfect run style for this type of race and may just get the perfect trip here. This one goes out for the Mullins barn and gets Baze in the irons.
- #6 CARPE VINUM (4-1) appears to be a major player in this race. This one fits well enough on speed figures and should get a really nice run of the race.
- #7 AMY C (5-1) appears to be a major player in this race. Her previous turf efforts fit this group. She goes out for D'Amato and Rispoli. The latter is one of the top turf jockeys in California.

- #7 DESMOND DOSS (8-1) could be in with a shot in this race. He has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here. This one should be in the mix turning for home.

- #6 BELLABEL (4-1) appears to be a major player in this race. She has the perfect run style for this type of race and may just get the perfect trip here. This one is favored in a wide open race which can be seen as a negative, but if the board remains this wide open, 4-1 seems like a very square price on one of the top runners in the group.
- #10 HELENS WELL (8-1) should be competitive in this spot. She should be in the right spot to be in with a chance late.
- #11 LUCKY GIRL (8-1) should be competitive in this spot. She makes sense on speed figures.
