Fleet Treat Stakes: Stakes Race Featured, Del Mar Resumes Thursday

Thursday’s card from Del Mar will feature the Fleet Treat Stakes. The 7 furlong dirt race will go off as the penultimate race. Connie Swingle is favored in the race.
Sweet Treat Full Card Analysis
Del Mar- Race 1
Post: 2:00 PM PT; $62k Claiming going 5 furlongs on turf; Entries: 9
- #5 BOCHOMBO (5-2) is a front runner and gets the top selection. He should be in the right spot to hold of the charge late. This one goes out for the Miller barn and gets Hernandez in the irons.
- #8 ROCKY GIBRALTAR (8-1) is a closer and appears to be a major player in this race. If things get hot up front this one could come late.
- #3 COWBOY CHARLIE (5-1) is a front runner and should be competitive in this spot. He will look to contest the favorite and try to outlast him to the wire.
- #2 STREET ART (7-2) is another speed type that could be in with a shot in this race. He has races good enough to beat this group. This one draws inside which could encourage a little extra speed in the early goings.

Del Mar- Race 2
Post: 2:30 PM PT; $25k Claiming going 1 mile on dirt; Entries: 8
- #2 FAMILY BIZ (6-1) is a closer and gets the top selection. He has the top overall power rating in the group. This one makes sense on speed figures. Horses have been able to make up a little ground on the Del Mar surface.
- #3 CAJUN TREASURE (3-1) has tactical speed and appears to be a major player in this race. He goes out for the Miller barn and gets Alsagoor in the irons. This one has the perfect run style for this type of race and may just get the perfect stalk and pounce trip here.
- #1 UNBROKEN STAR (12-1) is a price horse and should be competitive in this spot. He goes out for the Saldana barn and gets Monroy in the irons. This one should be in the right spot to have a chance late.
- #4 PAINT ME LUCKY (4-1) has tactical speed and could be in with a shot in this race. He makes sense on speed figures. This one has to be respected going out for the combination of Stortz and Roman.

Del Mar- Race 3
Post: 3:00 PM PT; $30k Maiden Claiming going 6 furlongs on dirt; Entries: 12
- #1 CROSS EXAMINE (3-1) debuts here and gets the top selection. He has to be respected going out for the combination of Baffert and Hernandez.
- #6 BUTTONWOOD TREE (6-1) has early speed and appears to be a major player in this race. He shouldn't have trouble with the 6 furlong distance. This one could get loose on the front.
- #4 ARREST (8-1) will be coming late with one run and could be in with a shot in this race. He should be in the right spot to have a chance here.
- #9 HIDING THE BRICK (6-1) is a front runner and isn't without hope. He may be able to find the front and hold on late. This one is well bred for this spot.

- #11 COTOPAXI (4-1) is a front running type and gets the top selection. He looks to be the class of the field. This one has the top overall power rating in the group.
- #2 LINCOLN CITY (10-1) is a price horse and appears to be a major player in this race. He has the perfect run style for this type of race and may just get the perfect trip here.
- #8 MAVEN (3-1) will likely contest the early runners and appears to be a major player in this race. He shouldn't have trouble with the 5 furlong distance. This one has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
- #10 BIARRITZ (4-1) has tactical speed and isn't without hope. He has to be respected going out for the combination of Maker and Vazquez.

- #5 GRACE ADLER (5-2) will be coming late with one run and gets the top selection. She makes sense on speed figures. This one could get the right pace to chase into.
- #1 MIDNIGHT MEMORIES (9-5) will also be coming late with one run and appears to be a major player in this race. She should be in the right spot as they turn for home to be in the mix at the wire. This one has to be respected going out for the combination of Baffert and Hernandez.
- #3 DANCE TO THE MUSIC (5-2) is a front runner and may be the controlling speed. If no one goes with her she may be able to take them wire to wire.
- #6 SLAMMED (3-1) has tactical speed and appears to be a major player in this race. She shouldn't have trouble with the 6 furlong distance. This one may benefit if the pace is slow.

Del Mar- Race 6

- #6 SCARABEA (3-1) has tactical speed and gets the top selection. She has races good enough to beat this group.
- #7 DUVET DAY (5-1) will be coming late with one run and should be competitive in this spot. She has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
- #9 QUEEN OFTHE TEMPLE (4-1) is a closer and feels like a fringe contender in this spot. She makes sense on speed figures. This one has the top overall power rating in the group. The question for this one will be if there is enough pace to get the job done.
- #10 WITH THIS VOW (4-1) is a front runner and isn't without hope. She seems to fit well enough here and may find herself on the lead. If she can sustain her speed she’s got a shot here.

Del Mar- Race 7

- #4 CONNIE SWINGLE (8-5) has tactical speed and gets the top selection. She has races good enough to beat this group. This one has the perfect run style for this type of race and may just get the perfect trip here.
- #5 FUN TO DREAM (5-2) should improve off the first start and should be competitive in this spot. The morning line says this one has some buzz on the back side.
- #2 TAM'S LITTLE ANGEL (8-1) will be coming late with one run and feels like a fringe contender in this spot. She makes sense on speed figures.
- #7 EVERLYS GIRL (30-1) is a price horse and is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. She shouldn't have trouble with the 7 furlong distance. This one should be in the right spot to be in with a chance late.

Del Mar- Race 8
Post: 5:30 PM PT; $80k Maiden Special Weight going 1 mile on turf; Entries: 14
- #9 QUEEN'S CODE (5-2) has tactical speed and gets the top selection. He has speed figures in the past performances that would be tough for this crew to match.
- #10 OUBABE (9-5) has tactical speed and could be in with a shot in this race. He has the pedigree to be a major player in this spot.
- #4 FORE FLAG (10-1) is a price horse and isn't without hope. He has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts. This one should be in the mix late.
- #13 ORTH (8-1) is a front runner and is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. He has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
