Grade 3 Quick Call Stakes: Sunday Saratoga Analysis

The Quick Call Stakes will be the lone stakes race on Sunday at Saratoga. Big Invasion is a heavy favorite in the featured race.

Post: 1:05 PM ET; $88k Maiden Special Weight going 5 1/2 furlongs on dirt; Entries: 9

• #8 MIRACLE MIKE (1-1) gets the top selection. He has the perfect run style for this type of race and may just get the perfect trip here. This one has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
• #6 N Y RIESLING (30-1) is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. He could get the right setup in this race.
• #4 LIGHT MAN (8-1) seems like the right kind to play in the lower rungs of vertical exotics.
• #7 CONMAN (3-1) seems like the top that is running for the minor placings on paper though the morning line maker at Saratoga is as good as they come and that gives me pause here.

• #6 MOMMASGOTTARUN (8-5) is the top pick here. She has the top overall power rating in the group. This one has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
• #3 LEVIOSA (5-1) appears to be a major player in this race. She has to be respected going out for the combination of Gargan and Ortiz. This one shouldn't have trouble with the 6 furlong distance.
• #5 WATERS OF MEROM (2-1) appears to be another legitimate contender. She looks to be the class of the field. This one has races good enough to beat this group.
• #2 TRINITY TITOLI (4-1) should be competitive in this spot. She has races that fit with the others at the top of the market.

• #2 LOCALLY OWNED (10-1) feels like a another outsider with potential to outrun the odds. He has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here. This one has kept really good company in the previous starts.

• #2 VETERANS BEACH (6-1) appears to be a major player in this race. He seems to fit well enough here. This one could get the right setup in this race.
• #7 SHERIFF BIANCO (3-1) should be competitive in this spot. This one looks to be the class of the field and should find the pace scenario to his liking.
• #10 ATHENRY (4-1) could be in with a shot in this race. He should be able to work out a decent trip from the wide draw and may benefit from being outside of the fray in the early scramble.
