Gulfstream Park Saturday Preview: Ginger Brew Analysis

The Saturday card from Gulfstream Park features the Ginger Brew. Cairo Consort is the morning line favorite in the race.

• #12 MISCREANT (6-1) gets the top selection. She should be sitting in the second tier of runners and looking to make one well timed run at the leaders. This one has races good enough to beat this group.
• #5 ALWAYS CONNECTED (12-1) goes out for the Weaver barn and gets Zayas in the irons.
• #6 GIRLY THE BUTCHER (10-1) will likely have a lot to do in the lane, but could get up with a competitive run.
• #1 OPENTHEGATE (15-1) is a price horse and could be in with a shot in this race. She has races good enough to beat this group.

• #2 IMPETUOUS SOUL (12-1) is a price horse and has races good enough to beat this group. This one has really consistent pace figures which should work well in a moderately paced race.
• #8 STREAMING TAP (6-1) feels like a fringe contender in this spot. He has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.

• #14 CERTAIN (8-1) appears to be a major player in this race. He has races good enough to beat this group.
• #9 CURLINS INCHARGE (15-1) is well bred for this spot. This one will likely have a lot to do in the lane, but could get up with a competitive run.
• #13 HARRINGTON (12-1) will be rolling late and has a good closing kick that could get the job done here.

• #9 BACH (8-1) seems to fit well enough here.
• #4 MORETHANICANHANDLE (5-2) has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.

• #6 LIGHT AND PATH (4-1) projects to sit mid pack and come with one run. This one goes out for the Sano barn and gets Zayas in the irons.
• #1 WICKED ICE (5-1) has solid early pace figures in a race that looks to lack a ton of front running speed.
• #4 CAMILLA (7-2) should improve off the first start and it wouldn’t take much to put this one in the mix with these.

• #4 CONGRUENT (5-1) gets the top selection. He has races good enough to beat this group. This one seems to fit well enough here.
• #7 WORTHINGTON (3-1) has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.
• #2 MAJOR DUDE (8-5) seems to fit well enough here. This one has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
• #5 BARZINI (15-1) is a price horse and is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. He has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.
