Gulfstream Park Saturday: Turf Sprints Analysis, Selections

Gulfstream Park has carded two stakes for Saturday racing. The Ladies' Turf Sprint and the Gulfstream Park Turf Sprint will both be run at 5 furlongs on the grass.

Gulfstream Park- Race 1

Post: 12:10 PM ET; $32k Maiden Claiming going 1 1/16 miles on turf; Entries: 13

• #12 HARDMONEYMUCHACHOS (5-1) gets the top selection. He has races good enough to beat this group. This one will likely have a lot to do in the lane, but could get up with a competitive run.
• #10 CROWN IN CHARGE (10-1) is a price horse and appears to be a major player in this race. He goes out for the Nicks barn and gets Reyes in the irons.
• #4 PHOBIA (4-1) has races good enough to beat this group. This one should be sitting in the second tier of runners and looking to make one well timed run at the leaders.
• #2 BLUE MAVERICK (12-1) makes sense on speed figures. This one should be part of the early pace in this spot.

Gulfstream Park- Race 2

Post: 12:39 PM ET; $24k Claiming going 7 furlongs on dirt; Entries: 7

• #7 KAEKO (9-5) is the top pick. She has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
• #3 PERFECT PROVISION (7-2) isn't without hope. She goes out for the Garcia barn and gets Reyes in the irons.
• #5 NO DECAF (12-1) is a price horse and is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. She has to be respected going out for the combination of Christie and Vasquez.
• #4 KHOZZY VALINTINE (7-2) has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.

Gulfstream Park- Race 3

• #5 POINT LIAM (6-1) looks best here. He has races good enough to beat this group. This one could be a dangerous threat to get loose on the front end.
• #2 ETNICO (3-1) debuts here and goes out for the Delgado barn and gets Castellano in the irons.
• #8 DELEGATED (7-2) should improve off the first start and has to be respected going out for the combination of Pletcher and Zayas.
• #6 SIMCOE (10-1) has to be respected going out for the combination of Vassilieva and Bridgmohan.

Gulfstream Park- Race 4

• #4 GOOCH GO BRAGH (8-1) gets the top selection. He has races good enough to beat this group.
• #5 PLENUM (15-1) could get the right setup in this race at a great price.
• #15 RESTORED ORDER (15-1) shouldn't have trouble with the 1 mile distance. This one makes sense on speed figures.
• #11 KARTANO (5-1) has to be respected going out for the combination of Joseph and Zayas. This one seems to fit well enough here.

• #5 WATCH THE MUSIC (9-2) seems to fit well enough here.
• #6 RED HURRICANE (4-1) could be a dangerous threat to get loose on the front end.

• #2 SOLO ALBUM (2-1) appears to be a major player in this race. She looks to be the class of the field.
• #4 OLYMPIC PRANK (3-1) should improve off the first start and isn't without hope. She has to be respected going out for the combination of Joseph and Zayas.
• #6 LAKESIDE GETAWAY (8-1) is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. She will be rolling late.

• #8 MAMBA WAMBA (6-1) will be rolling late and has a good closing kick that could get the job done here.
• #9 SPUN GLASS (10-1) should have the stamina to carry her speed.
• #3 IMAGERY (5-1) makes sense on speed figures.

• #4 EAMONN (4-1) is the top pick. He could be a dangerous threat to get loose on the front end. This one seems to fit well enough here.
• #6 SPEEDY HANS (5-2) looks to be the class of the field. This one could be a dangerous threat to get loose on the front end.
• #3 THERAPIST (9-5) has to be respected going out for the combination of Maker and Castellano.
• #5 INVISIBLE WAR (8-1) has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.

• #9 SEA HUNTER (12-1) is a price horse and is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. He seems to fit well enough here.
