Gulfstream Park Thursday: Value Betting Opportunities

The Thursday card from Gulfstream Park looks to have several wide open races. With so many inconsistent horses running, longshot opportunities can lead to big scores.

Post: 12:10 PM ET; $32k Maiden Claiming going about 7 1/2 furlongs on turf; Entries: 16

• #8 INFLUENTIALOUS (5-2) gets the top selection. She has races good enough to beat this group. This one could be a dangerous threat to get loose on the front end.
• #4 ARTIFACT (8-1) is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. She goes out for the Sano barn and gets Ortiz in the irons.
• #6 CLOUD STORAGE (3-1) has the pedigree to be a major player in this spot. This one should be sitting in the second tier of runners and looking to make one well timed run at the leaders.
• #9 SING SCAT (4-1) is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. She goes out for the Rodriquez barn and gets Vasquez in the irons.

• #4 ONE IDENTITY (9-5) is the top pick. She has tactical speed and can sit just off the leaders for a stalk and pounce trip. This one has to be respected going out for the combination of Crichton and Ortiz.
• #1 SEQUIN LADY (6-1) should be competitive in this spot. She seems to fit well enough here.
• #7 DESIGNED BY KITTEN (5-1) has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.
• #2 CROWDING OUT (5-2) looks to be the class of the field and should appreciate this spot.

• #4 MAJOR PRYCE (7-5) looks best here. She looks to be the class of the field. This one has the pedigree to be a major player in this spot.
• #5 RESONANCIA (4-1) should be competitive in this spot. She shouldn't have trouble with the 1 mile 70 yard distance. This one makes sense on speed figures.
• #3 LADY PETAL (4-1) isn't without hope. She fits with these on speed figures.
• #8 TWO BEER BUZZ (10-1) is a price horse and isn't without hope. She will likely be in the first flight of runners and should be in with a chance late.

• #5 VELOCISSIMA (8-1) could spring an upset and looks to be the class of the field. This one runs evenly and looks to get a very fair pace scenario here.
• #8 SHOW ME LOVE (20-1) is a price horse and appears to be a major player in this race. She will likely have a lot to do in the lane, but could get up with a competitive run.
• #1 INTERESTING GEM (6-1) should be competitive in this spot. She should be part of the early pace in this spot. This one has to be respected going out for the combination of Yanez and Pimentel.

• #6 LIGHT AND PATH (9-5) has races that will win this win and makes sense as the favorite. This one is well bred for this spot.
• #4 ST. JOE JET (6-1) should improve off the first start and isn't without hope. This one has solid early pace figures in a race that looks to lack a ton of front running speed.
