Ahead of the 4th of July weekend Horseshoe Indianapolis is set to run a pair of stakes. The Checked Flag and the Brickyard will both be contested on the dirt.

Horseshoe Indianapolis Race 1
Post: 2:25 PM ET; Purse: $34,000 Maiden Special Weight, 1 1/16 Miles on Dirt; Entries: 7
- #3 CAN'T HUSH THIS (8-5) looks tough to beat here given the edge in a number of key categories including speed & class.
- #7 BLUE NILE (2-1) looks a strong player here on the debut try.
- #5 BARBARIAN (4-1) is worth a look here given edges in record at the distance & form.
- #6 GAON FLAG (5-2) is proven as a good bet to at least hit the board under today's distance and surface conditions.

Horseshoe Indianapolis Race 2
Post: 2:54 PM ET; Purse: $36,000 Allowance Optional Claiming, 1 Mile 70 Yards on Dirt; Entries: 6
- #1 INCORRIGIBLE (7-2) has a great shot in the race given the speed & pace numbers.
- #4 SAQEEL (5-1) seems to be at his best at distance around a mile on the dirt track.
- #2 ESKENFORIT (6-1) will likely have the stamina to outlast these in the final jumps of the race.
- #5 DREAM KEEPER (3-1) looks to have to have kept the best company in the previous starts.

- #5 CREATIVE CREDIT (8-1) looks to have to have kept the best company in the previous starts.
- #4 LEMOS CUNHA (4-1) merits consideration in this spot given edges in speed & connections.
- #8 GOLDEN BELL (4-1) is worth a look here given edges in record at the distance & form.
- #7 FAIR GAME (5-2) is worth a look here given edges in stamina & power rating.

- #4 SUPERDUTY JUSTICE (5-2) is in with a great chance based on the horse's class & form.
- #9 ALTERNATE NIGHTS (20-1) merits consideration in this spot given edges in stamina. At 20-1 this one could be a shocker with a little class relief.
- #2 GEORGE THE MAN (6-1) could get a perfect pace scenario today.
- #8 EDENS GLORY (15-1) should be competitive based on the overall power rating which has it tops in the group.

- #8 BIG PAPER (2-1) looks like a strong prospect edging the field in several key handicapping factors including connections & breeding.
- #1 RAVE ON (9-2) is a major player in today's race edging the field in several key handicapping factors including speed & pace.
- #4 FIERCE ASSAULT (5-1) may be the likeliest runner in the field to pass horses. If the others start to wither in the stretch, this one could pick up the pieces.
- #5 RULE THE EMPIRE (5-1) should be sitting close and has a foundation to get the distance.
Horseshoe Indianapolis Race 6
Post: 5:03 PM ET; Purse: $40,000 Allowance, 1 Mile on Dirt; Entries: 12
- #11 SCOTTY'S ON EDGE (3-1) is worth a look here given edges in connections & record at the distance.
- #10 DAAHER STREET (8-1) is a major player based on speed figures.
- #1 HAZEL RAH (20-1) should be in the right spot early to give this horse a chance to get the job done.
- #9 KING SOCIAL (15-1) shouldn’t have any trouble with the mile distance, the question will be if the horse has enough speed for that to matter. This one probably makes the most sense underneath.

- #6 VERRY AMELIA (8-1) likes this distance. Verry Amelia looks like a verry playable in this spot.
- #4 EVERYOTHERWON (4-1) is worth a look here given edges in record at the distance & race flow.

- #11 NOBODY LISTENS (5-2) should be competitive based on the overall power rating which has it tops in the group. This one is proven of the track.
- #7 CHIPOFFTHEOLDBLOCK (2-1) is a major player in today's race edging the field in several key handicapping factors including speed & pace.
- #9 BAYOU CAT (5-1) merits consideration in this spot given edges in stamina & record at the distance.
- #2 MUSIC TO MY EARS (30-1) is a small upset prospect. I don’t see this one winning, but hitting the board is within reach for this runner.

- #5 NO PROOF (5-2) has to be respected today edging the field in several key handicapping factors including class & form.
- #7 AEROBALLISTIC (7-2) could get a perfect pace scenario today.
- #13 BONNE CHERE (4-1) will likely have the stamina to outlast these in the final jumps of the race.
- #12 PRESTO BENCH (3-1) merits consideration in this spot given edges in speed & pace.

- #2 CARTER CAN (7-2) is in with a great chance based on the horse's class & previous tries at this distance.
- #6 OPEN RUNAWAY (6-1) goes out for solid quarter horse connections
- #7 BRIMMSTONE FIRE (6-1) tends to break well from the gate and should be dangerous.
- #3 COUNTRY MAKER (4-1) has speed index numbers that don’t make this one impossible.

Horseshoe Indianapolis Race 11
Post: 7:40 PM ET; Purse: $18,000 Maiden, 300 Yards on Dirt; Entries: 9
- #1 EL FULANO (6-1) will have to break straight from the rail, but if he does he could offer a nice price on debut.
- #5 STONEY BEACH (5-1) has been good from the gate and should be able to sustain the speed to the wire.
- #9 FE CANT TOUCH THIS (12-1) looks to have to have kept the best company in the previous starts.
- #6 INDEPENDENT EAGLE (12-1) is another quick gate horse who could play a factor here.
