The Friday card from Oaklawn Park features the Advent Stakes. Fan favorite Tyler’s Tribe who was pulled up in the Breeders’ Cup was installed as the morning line favorite.
Oaklawn Park- Race 1
Post: 12:30 PM CT; $28k Maiden Claiming going 6 furlongs on dirt; Entries: 7
- #1 BOLD MEDICATION (6-1) could pull the upset here. This one has tactical speed and can sit just off the leaders for a stalk and pounce trip.
- #6 STILL ON THE BOOKS (5-2) looks a worthy contender. He makes sense on speed figures.
- #7 BOURBON ON FIRE (2-1) appears to be a major player in this race. He has races good enough to beat this group. This one has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.
- #3 ACEHIGH ROYAL (8-1) should be competitive in this spot. He looks to be the class of the field.

- #8 GIRLS A BULLET (7-2) is the top pick. She seems to fit really well with this group.
- #1 CATECHISM (3-1) appears to be a major player in this race. She is a good bet to hit the board in this type of race.
- #2 NOSTALGIA (4-1) should be competitive in this spot. She runs evenly and looks to get a very fair pace scenario here. This one goes out for the Asmussen barn and gets Castillo in the irons.
- #6 DISTORTED SECRETS (4-1) feels like a fringe contender. She always runs well in these dirt sprints. This one has the top overall power rating in the group.

- #5 PEACE CRUISER (4-5) looks best here. She has races good enough to beat this group. This one has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
- #1 STRIKINGLY SPUN (12-1) is a price horse and runs evenly and looks to get a very fair pace scenario here.
- #3 BOLT FOR ALLISON (5-1) looks to be the class of the field. This one comes into the race in really good form.
- #6 MADLY DANCING (10-1) is one that could has a good shot to outrun the odds. Oaklawn is known for producing longshots.

Post: 1:54 PM CT; $45k Claiming going 6 furlongs on dirt; Entries: 7
- #5 MACRON (7-5) gets the top selection. He has tactical speed and can sit just off the leaders for a stalk and pounce trip. This one goes out for the Duncan barn and gets Arrieta in the irons.
- #1 HOME BASE (4-1) seems to fit well enough here. This one runs evenly and looks to get a very fair pace scenario here.
- #4 COST BASIS (5-1) is probably best to put underneath on most tickets but has been running against solid company of late and could find this group to his liking.
- #2 FLAP JACK (7-2) has a run style that suits the Oaklawn track profile very well.

- #7 LANSDOWNE (5-2) is the top pick. He could be a dangerous threat to get loose on the front end. This one makes sense on speed figures.
- #12 COLE SPUR (3-1) appears to be a major player in this race. He classes up well with these types. This one has solid early pace figures in a race that looks to lack a ton of front running speed.
- #9 SUPER GEEK (12-1) is a price horse and should be competitive in this spot. He has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
- #4 WESLEYAN (20-1) is a price horse and seems to fit well enough here.

- #2 INDIAN IRISH (3-1) should improve off the first start and looks best here. She could be a dangerous threat to get loose on the front end. This one has races good enough to beat this group.
- #11 WILD ROSEY (12-1) is a price horse and has to be respected going out for the combination of Calhoun and Diaz.
- #3 TIMBAVATI (9-2) should improve at second asking. She makes sense on speed figures. This one should be forwardly placed throughout.
- #1 MAGNOLIA MAE (12-1) has been running against solid horses and could enjoy a little class relief in this field.

Oaklawn Park- Race 7
Post: 3:18 PM CT; $104k Allowance going 6 furlongs on dirt; Entries: 14
- #4 DIVA TREVA (6-1) gets the top selection. She has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
- #12 HYPERSPORT (7-2) appears to be a major player in this race. This one may benefit from a hot pace up front.
- #8 BACKYARD MONEY (15-1) is a longshot that comes into the race in really solid form. This one could be in with a shot to upset the apple cart.
- #9 KANT BELIEVE IT (4-1) appears to be a factor in this race. She goes out for the Divito barn and gets Cabrera in the irons.
Selections: 4 – 12- 8 – 9
Oaklawn Park- Race 8
Post: 3:46 PM CT; $150k Advent S. going 5 1/2 furlongs on dirt; Entries: 9
- #7 FROSTED DEPARTURE (15-1) is a huge price and is the top pick. He will likely be in the first flight of runners and should be in with a chance late. If the favorite needs a race off of the injury, this one could really blow things up.
- #5 TYLER'S TRIBE (3-5) is a definite player if he returns to the form from Iowa. The big question will be if he’s fully healthy and conditioned after a speed and stop in the Breeders’ Cup which led to him being vanned off the course.
- #6 HAPPY IS A CHOICE (9-2) should be competitive in this spot. He has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts. This one goes out for the Ortiz barn and gets Cabrera in the irons.
- #9 WILD MULE (6-1) feels like a fringe contender in this spot. He has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts. This one has to be respected going out for the combination of Hollendorfer and Rodriguez.

- #2 PATTERN BET (1-1) looks best here. She has races good enough to beat this group. This one goes out for the Moquett barn and gets Bejarano in the irons.
- #4 FIRST RATE ROMANCE (20-1) is a price horse and has to be respected going out for the combination of Stuart and Rodriguez.
- #3 GOLD STRATEGY (5-1) shouldn't have trouble with the 6 furlong distance. This one looks to be the class of the field.
- #13 HAMAZING DEBATE (12-1) is a price horse and seems to be running for the minor placings in this contest. She could be a dangerous threat to get loose on the front end.
