Sunday’s Santa Anita card carries Breeders’ Cup implications. The Speakeasy stakes will stamp a ticket for hopeful Juvenile turf sprint runners.

• #5 PRIDE OF THE NILE (9-5) should improve off the first start and gets the top selection. She should have gotten plenty out of the debut.
• #3 THREE STRANDS (4-1) projects to sit mid pack and come with one run. She’s likely to improve off the first start.
• #2 LA PEER (3-1) has to be respected going out for the combination of D'Amato and Vazquez.
• #1 FOURTH STREET (6-1) has really consistent pace figures which should work well in a moderately paced race.

• #3 TROUBADOUR (5-2) appears to be a major player in this race. He has races good enough to beat this group.
• #5 DUTCH BUS (7-2) could be in with a shot in this race and makes sense on speed figures.
• #7 MICKY FROM WEXFORD (4-1) feels like a fringe contender in this spot. He seems to fit well enough here.
