Saratoga Saturday Features KY Oaks Rematch: Nest vs. Secret Oath

Saturday at Saratoga will include two loaded stakes races. The Caress will see the return of Caravel while the CCA Oaks will feature a KY Oaks rematch of Nest & Secret Oath.

Saturday Full Card Analysis

Saratoga- Race 1

Post: 1:05 PM ET; $105k Maiden Special Weight going 1 1/16 miles on turf; Entries: 10

• #7 ACTIVIST INVESTING (9-5) gets the top selection. He has to be respected going out for the combination of Brown and Ortiz. Brown capitalized on a maiden turf race to kick off the card on Friday.
• #8 MO'S TREASURE (12-1) makes sense in here at a big number. He has the pedigree to be a major player in this spot. This one could enjoy the pace setup of the race.
• #6 TWO MINUTES APART (15-1) is probably best to put underneath on most tickets, but could be the kind of value horse needed to play off a heavy favorite.
• #3 COUTH (12-1) seems like he is running for the minor placings. Again, this one is largely value play underneath what looks like a really strong favorite.

Saratoga- Race 2

Post: 1:37 PM ET; $50k Claiming going 5 1/2 furlongs on turf; Entries: 9

• #6 PIRATE LIFE (7-5) gets the top selection. He has the perfect run style for this type of race and may just get the perfect trip here. This one has to be respected going out for the combination of Gargan and Ortiz.
• #7 BRAZILLIONAIRE (8-5) is another likely player in this spot. He makes sense on speed figures. This one has the top overall power rating in the group.
• #9 RISK PROFILE (6-5) seems a little short on the morning line, but definitely fits this group. He has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
• #5 STANHOPE (6-1) is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. He has run against some really good fields of late.

Post: 2:12 PM ET; $115k Allowance going 6 furlongs on dirt; Entries: 7

• #4 BREAKFASTATBONNIES (3-1) gets the top selection. She has races good enough to beat this group. This one has the top overall power rating in the group.
• #7 UNION LAKE (6-1) should be competitive in this spot. She should be in the right spot to be in with a chance late. This one may get the absolute dream flow of the race in this spot.
• #1 BANK ON ANNA (10-1) should be competitive in this spot. She makes sense on speed figures. This one should be in the mix in the lane at a fat price.
• #3 JANE GREY (7-2) could be in with a shot in this race. The numbers have this one within striking distance at race end.

Saratoga- Race 4

Post: 2:43 PM ET; $105k Maiden Special Weight going 1 mile on turf; Entries: 9

• #1 MOZAY (7-2) gets the top selection. She comes into the race in really good form. This one has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.
• #4 JANE MAST (4-1) looks like she has a shot in here. She shouldn't have trouble with the 1 mile distance. This one has the perfect run style for this type of race and may just get the perfect trip here.
• #5 HERINGTON ROCKET (8-1) isn't without hope. She makes sense on speed figures. This one should be in the right spot to be in with a chance late.
• #3 WINGS LIKE EAGLES (3-1) is a likely one to be on the posted numbers at the end of the race. Where in that pecking order she ends up is the question. This one is well bred for this spot.

Saratoga- Race 5

Post: 3:16 PM ET; $500k Coaching Club American Oaks going 1 1/8 miles on dirt; Entries: 5

• #3 NEST (1-1) gets the top selection. She has the top overall power rating in the group. This one has to be respected going out for the combination of Pletcher and Ortiz. She will have to turn the table on her main rival.
• #5 SECRET OATH (6-5) should be competitive in this spot. She has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts and has back to solid races with the Kentucky Oaks and the Preakness against the boys.
• #4 NOSTALGIC (10-1) feels like a fringe contender in this spot. She could get the right setup in this race. This one is a great option if the top 2 focus on each other. This one has one of the biggest upsides in the race.
• #2 SOCIETY (8-1) seems like the top that is running for the minor placings. She has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here. She just needs to get better to beat these types.

• #1 SUMMONYOURCOURAGE (4-1) gets the top selection. He shouldn't have trouble with the 6 furlong distance. This one has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
• #10 BRING THEBAND HOME (6-1) could be in with a shot in this race. He may get the absolute dream flow of the race in this spot.
• #8 PHELPSY (7-2) feels like a fringe contender in this spot. He has to be respected going out for the combination of Brown and Ortiz.
• #9 WESTERN GHENT (15-1) is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. This one should be able to outrun the odds in this spot.

Saratoga- Race 7

Post: 4:26 PM ET; $88k Maiden Special Weight going 5 1/2 furlongs on turf; Entries: 15

• #4 SINFULLY SWEET (8-1) gets the top selection. The fields she’s run against thus far make her dangerous to upset here.
• #1 QUEEN OF LIES (12-1) appears to be a major player in this race. She has really good turf numbers for this group.
• #13 ROAD TO REMEMBER (15-1) should be competitive in this spot. She seems to fit well enough here. This one should be in the right spot to be in with a chance late.
• #8 WRITERS ROOM (6-1) should be competitive in this spot. She has the perfect run style for this type of race and may just get the perfect trip here.

• #4 FAVORITE OUTLAW (5-2) feels like a fringe contender in this spot. He comes into the race in really good form. There are races in the past performances that make this one dangerous.
• #5 STAGE LEFT (10-1) isn't without hope. He may get a pace setup to produce his best effort and that at least puts him in the mix here.

• #2 MONTATHAM (12-1) is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. He should be in the right spot to kick home in the shadow of the wire.
