Saratoga Thursday: New York Sired Runners Take To Turf Again

The New York Stallion Series continues on Thursday. The featured race will be run at a one mile distance on the lush Saratoga turf course.
Saratoga- Race 1
Post: 1:05 PM ET; $42k Maiden Claiming going 1 mile on dirt; Entries: 6
- #1 SENSIBLECONCLUSION (7-5) gets the top selection. This one has the pedigree to be a major player in this spot.
- #2 LUCKY MUCHO MAN (9-2) has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts. This one seems to fit well enough here.
- #3 UNCLE WATER FLOW (5-2) has to be respected going out for Randy Persaud and Javier Castellano.
- #5 REUNION TOUR (12-1) is a price horse and isn't without hope. He has races good enough to beat this group.

Post: 1:39 PM ET; $100k Allowance Optional Claiming going 1 mile on dirt; Entries: 6
- #4 CARAGATE (8-5) is the top pick. She has really consistent pace figures which should work well in a moderately paced race.
- #1 OK HONEY (5-1) should be competitive in this spot. She looks to be the class of the field and shouldn't have trouble with the 1 mile distance.
- #5 IFIHADACHANCE (6-1) feels like a fringe contender in this spot. She seems to fit well enough here.
- #6 BUSTIN BAY (5-1) isn't without hope. She projects to sit mid pack and come with one run.

Saratoga- Race 3
Post: 2:15 PM ET; $100k Allowance Optional Claiming going 5 1/2 furlongs on turf; Entries: 8
- #1A SASSY MELISSA (2-1) looks to be the class of the field. This one has the top overall power rating in the group.
- #5 FONTANAFREDDA (4-1) will likely have a lot to do in the lane, but could get up with a competitive run.
- #4 GET THE CANDY (3-1) feels like a fringe contender in this spot. She seems to fit well enough here and makes sense on speed figures.
- #6 JILL'S A HOT MESS (5-2) has tactical speed and can sit just off the leaders for a stalk and pounce trip.

Saratoga- Race 4
Post: 2:49 PM ET; $75k Starter Handicap going 6 furlongs on dirt; Entries: 7
- #2 MEXICAN WONDER BOY (2-1) gets the top selection. He looks to be the class of the field.
- #4 STAGE LEFT (3-1) shouldn't have trouble with the 6 furlong distance. This one could be a dangerous threat to get loose on the front end.
- #5 FLAMINGO HAWK (5-2) should be competitive in this spot. He makes sense on speed figures.
- #1 ALCOOLS (9-2) isn't without hope. He has solid early pace figures which has been vital on the dirt at the Spa.

Saratoga- Race 5
Post: 3:21 PM ET; $83k Maiden Special Weight going 6 furlongs on dirt; Entries: 7
- #5 CLEAR THE DECK (3-1) is the top pick. He has races good enough to beat this group.
- #2 CHILDERS (5-2) debuts here and goes out for the Cox barn and gets Castellano in the irons.
- #6 FORBIDDEN SECRET (9-2) should improve off the first start and has to be respected going out for the combination of Pletcher and Ortiz.
- #3 HEY EUGENE (5-1) debuts here for the Maker barn and gets Luis Saez in the irons.

Saratoga- Race 6
Post: 3:55 PM ET; $88k Maiden Special Weight going 1 1/16 miles on turf; Entries: 8
- #3 DREAM ON CARA (8-1) looks best here in a race where the favorite doesn’t look invincible.
- #7 BERNT AGAIN (10-1) is a price horse that has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
- #4 RECOGNIZE (5-2) will likely be out on or near the lead and will look to hold off the charge to the wire. This one has the pedigree to win but has had a couple chances.
- #5 SARAH'S DIALED IN (6-1) debuts here and could be in with a shot in this race. She has a chance to surprise in the first try.

Saratoga- Race 7
Post: 4:29 PM ET; $50k Claiming going 5 1/2 furlongs on turf; Entries: 9
- #2 VETERANS BEACH (3-1) has the top overall power rating in the group. This one will likely be in the first flight of runners and should be in with a chance late.
- #3 CHARLES CHROME (7-5) appears to be a major player in this race. This one will be rolling late and has a good closing kick that could get the job done here.
- #7 IMMORTALIZATION (5-2) has tactical speed and can sit just off the leaders for a stalk and pounce trip.
- #6 BOOM BOOM KABOOM (6-1) isn't without hope. He makes sense on speed figures.

- #4 WINIT (5-2) should be competitive in this spot. He has races good enough to beat this group.
- #5 WARRIOR JOHNY (9-2) should be competitive in this spot. He has solid early pace figures in a race that looks to lack a ton of front running speed.
- #1 PERCEIVED (4-1) could be in with a shot in this race. He projects to sit mid pack and come with one run.

- #5 HOWDYOUMAKEURMONEY (8-1) looks like an upsetter with solid speed figures and decent back class.
- #4 DREAM CENTRAL (5-2) appears to be a major player in this race. She has races good enough to beat this group. This one seems to fit well enough here.
- #6 BUSY MORNING (2-1) should be competitive in this spot. She projects to sit mid pack and come with one run.
- #2 ROBYN AND ELI (5-1) goes out for the Brown barn and gets Franco in the irons.

- #1 URAGANO (5-2) makes sense on speed figures. This one should be sitting in the second tier of runners and looking to make one well timed run at the leaders.
- #6 LOOKIN GRAND (7-2) will likely be in the first flight of runners and should be in with a chance late.
- #8 LOZ (3-1) is well bred for this spot.
- #2 ABLETON (10-1) has really consistent pace figures which should work well in a moderately paced race.
