Tuesday was a massive night for the United States as it marked the 2024 Vice Presidential debate. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Ohio Sen. JD Vance went head-to-head under the spotlight as they debated various topics, leaving many to wonder how either man’s performance impacted the 2024 presidential election odds.
With both Republicans and Democrats thinking they came out of the VP debate looking better than the other, it can be hard to tell who actually “won” the night. Fortunately, sportsbooks — such as BetOnline — can help further shed some light on the situation.
Here’s a look at the latest 2024 U.S. Presidential Election odds following Tuesday’s VP debate.

Presidential Election Odds 2024 Following VP Debate
U.S. Presidential Election odds are courtesy of BetOnline at 10:25 a.m. ET on Wednesday, Oct. 2.
- Kamala Harris (-110)
- Donald Trump (-110)
- Other (+5000)
After Tuesday night’s VP debate, Democratic nominee Kamala Harris and Republic nominee Donald Trump are -110 co-favorites to win the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election. The odds have moved slightly from when Harris was the -120 favorite following last month’s presidential debate, whereas Trump has risen from +100.
Odds don’t always tell the full story, though. According to the latest poll from Real Clear Politics, Harris still holds a lead of about 2% over Trump, which is where it has hovered for the last month or so. Meanwhile, a poll from FiveThirtyEight indicates that the Democratic nominee holds a 2.6% lead over her Republican counterpart.
It’ll be interesting to see how and if the odds shift ahead of election night on Nov. 5. Not only aren’t there any more debates scheduled, but Trump also recently pulled out of his “60 Minutes Interview” which could impact how potential voters perceive him.
At the end of the day, it’s clear that the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election is unpredictable and how it unfolds will be fascinating to watch.
