Astros vs Rangers Game 4 Prediction
Momentum is on the Astros’ side following last night’s victory. Houston’s eight-run performance seems to signify that the club is back on track, doubling their offensive output of the first two ALCS games combined.
The Astros’ victory also put an end to the Rangers’ six-game winning streak at home. While that’s quite the accomplishment, it’s also business as usual for Dusty Baker’s club.
After all, the Astros have now emerged victorious in six consecutive games at Globe Life Field. The offense has been clicking to the tune of 10.7 runs per game over that stretch, outscoring the Rangers by an average of 5.8 runs along the way.
Jose Altuve and Jose Abreu caused the most damage in those contests. During those six road games, Altuve led the Astros with seven home runs while Abreu racked up a team-leading 15 RBIs. If the duo can continue that production, Houston has a great shot at a victory.
The Astros have already confirmed that Jose Urquidy will be their starting pitcher in Game 4. The veteran righty is 1-0 with a 1.23 ERA in his last three starts and is undefeated in seven career games against the Rangers, going 5-0 with a 2.82 ERA and 45 strikeouts over 44 2/3 innings.
Meanwhile, Andrew Heaney is the Rangers’ opener. He’s played extremely well lately, pitching to a 0.69 ERA over his last six games (two starts). Having said that, he owns a 1-3 record and a 4.53 ERA in his last nine encounters with the Astros.
