Braves vs Phillies Preview
Not only are these two teams separated by a short 6 games in their division, the squads share some recent parallels as well.
For example, both teams go into this game on a 6 game winning streak. Both teams are also 8-2 in their L10 games. The Phillies are 19-11 at home, while the Braves are 22-11 on the road.
Seems about as equal of a matchup as one can have at this point in the season.
We saw these two teams split a four game series during the last weekend of May. Those games were in Atlanta and 3 out of 4 were pretty high scoring. The Phillies won the two “lower” scoring matchups 2-1 and 6-4, while the Braves bats propelled them to victory 8-5 and 11-4.
Will Atlanta keep their bats going in Philly? Or will the Phillies extend their winning streak and start catching the division leaders?

Braves vs Phillies Prediction & Best Bet
Braves -1.5 (+115)
I’ll side with Atlanta in this one, and I do think we see some fireworks. Spencer Strider is on the bump for the Braves and he has already mowed down this Phillies lineup once.
In that game on. May 28th, Strider pitched 6 innings, gave up 2 Earned Runs on the same number of hits, walked one batter, and struck out nine.
Now, that’s where his line sits today: over 8.5 Ks juiced to about -150ish.
I know I preach paying the juice man, but even that is too much for me. Not necessarily the odds, but for 9 strikeouts that seems like a lot. Especially considering he hasn’t cleared that number in three straight games.
Even though I don’t expect Strider to get to 9 strikeouts, I think he still has a solid game and ultimately the Braves take this one on the road.
Player Props
Austin Riley over 1.5 Total Bases (+120)
Austin Riley is most definitely in a slump. He’s only cleared this number 1 time in his L10 contests, but we know what he’s capable of, especially against lefties whom he faces today.
Riley bats .243 against LHP, and Suárez allows righties to hit .291. Not to mention these guys have some history.
In 15 plate appearances against Suárez, Riley bats .417 and has a .583 Slugging Percentage. Riley has 5 hits and 2 doubles against this guy.
This is a great matchup for Riley to break out of his slump, and I think he does just that today.
