See Picks & Statistics For The GameThe Los Angeles Dodgers aim to sweep the Atlanta Braves when they meet for their three-game series’ conclusion on Wednesday, May 24. Atlanta’s pitchers have struggled to limit Los Angeles’ offense so far, leaving time to tell if things will be different in tonight’s Dodgers vs Braves finale.
The Braves got absolutely destroyed Tuesday night, falling 8-1 to the Dodgers at Truist Park. J.D. Martinez and Jason Heyward each tallied a home run while Will Smith went 3-of-5 in the batter’s box, recording a double with three RBIs.
Can the Dodgers complete the sweep with another dominant effort tonight? Or will the Braves reverse their fortunes to avoid their fourth loss in five games?
Here’s a look at everything you know heading into tonight’s Dodgers vs Braves showdown, from the latest betting odds to a prediction with the best betting recommendation, courtesy of Betting News.

Dodgers vs Braves Game Preview
After the Dodgers and Braves combined for 23 runs in the first two meetings of this series, the finale is shaping up to be a pitching duel.
On one hand, you have Tony Gonsolin for the Dodgers. The 2022 MLB All-Star has been solid since missing the start of the season due to a sprained ankle. He’s gone 2-1 through five starts, pitching to a 1.13 ERA while surrendering a career-low 4.9 hits per nine innings.
Gonsolin has also pitched well against Atlanta in the past. In three previous meetings against the Braves, the 29-year-old owns a 1-0 record with a 1.15 ERA and 1.021 WHIP.
In other words, Bryce Elder must do his best to keep pace with Gonsolin. Fortunately, the Braves starting pitcher has performed well, too, going 3-0 while tallying a 2.06 ERA in nine starts. Having said that, Elder hasn’t been awarded the decision in any of his five starts at home this season, however, he does have a 2.17 ERA in those contests.
Nevertheless, it’s hard to imagine the Braves getting the better of Gonsolin tonight. After all, they’ve been struggling to generate offense lately, being held to three or fewer runs in three of their last four games. They’re also batting just .236 over their last 12 games, ranking 10th-worst in the Majors over that span.
The Dodgers, meanwhile, average the second-most runs in baseball (5.52) and have scored eight on the Braves in back-to-back contests. While Elder has pitched well, it’s clear that L.A.’s batters are feeling themselves and with how talent-rich that lineup is, it’ll be hard stopping them.
It’s also worth noting that the Braves haven’t been too impressive at Truist Park, only going 12-12 at home thus far. They’re also just 3-10 against the spread against National League clubs at home, whereas the Dodgers are 14-12 ATS in NL competition on the road.
It’s just hard viewing the Braves as favorites after last night’s drubbing. The Dodgers have already won the series, proving that they have the home club’s number. Unless Atlanta comes out with a completely different effort, history may repeat itself.
Dodgers vs Braves Game Prediction and Picks
Dodgers vs Braves Prediction: Dodgers 4, Braves 2
Dodgers vs Braves: Dodgers -1.5 (Best Value: +146 at BetOnline) & Under 9.5 Total Runs (Best Value: -120 at BetOnline)
After losing back-to-back games against the Dodgers, I don’t see the Braves winning tonight. Their run production has been all over the place lately, whereas L.A. has been getting a combination of solid offense and pitching. With Atlanta being 3-10 ATS at home against NL clubs, I won’t be shocked if Dave Roberts’ squad wins this by multiple runs.
For another worthwhile Dodgers vs Braves bet, I recommend taking the under on the 9.5 run total. Even though these clubs averaged 11.5 runs in the first two games of this series, the under is 5-2 in their previous seven matchups. With how well Gonsolin and Elder have been pitching, there’s no reason to expect that trend to change.
