The woes of April continue for your boy, but I will continue to fight the good fight to get back on track with winning baseball wagers. Full disclosure, I am ice cold this is the perfect time to fade both of these bets and take the other side. Fade the Ice Man.
Without further ado, here are my favorite plays for the Tuesday night slate.

Three weeks into the MLB regular season, I am currently down BAD -11.27 units. The season is so young the numbers are not there yet. I need the middle of May already.

The Stank:
One of my favorite hitters, Alec Bohm, enters today with the second-best matchup rating for the Rockies vs Phillies game, according to Batters-Box.com.
When he has an elite rating, Bohm records at least a base hit 69% of the time. He also records at least a run at 61% and goes over 2.5 HRR 53.85% of the time.
Austin Gomber—more like Austin Goober, am I right? Ha. Ha. Ha. Gomber gives up a boatload of hard contact to hitters. This season, he has an ERA of 4.91 and a WHIP of 1.64.

Bohm has seen the ball pretty well lately, batting .232 with an OPS of .705. Although he has not recorded a hit in two straight games, he has not struck out in four games. I like that so much I have sprinkled on his double prop, because 38% of the time he is an elite hitter on Batters-Box.com he records a double.
Luckily, this game is being played at the Bank and not at Coors, or the odds would be god-awful. Getting plus money for Bohm when he goes over 2.5 53.85% of the time, he is elite, so the odds should be more toward the -115 range.

The Stank:
The stats on this man are pure filth. Not only does Jorge Soler crush all of Ryan Weathers’ pitches. Weathers is primarily a fastball pitcher; Soler, this season, is batting .294 with an OPS of .726. Weathers also throws a slider and changeup, which Soler is hitting above .260 with an OPS above 786 against those two pitches.

Today, Soler is ranked fourth in the matchup ratings on Batters-Box.com, a testament to his consistent performance. When facing an Elite Matchup Rating, Soler has a remarkable track record, hitting at least once 87% of the time and a single 66.7% of the time. In fact, he has recorded a single in six of his last 10 elite matchup ratings this season.
At plus money to record a single, when the stats say it should be towards the -200 range, it is more of an automatic play than anything. I love Jorge today.
