It’s hard not to back the AL West leaders at home, especially coming off a loss. They are 42-27 overall, and 22-13 at Globe Life Field.

Not to mention Dane Dunning is on the bump for Texas, and he’s been phenomenal since becoming a starter this year. A sub 3.00 ERA paired with a 5-1 record and a 1.19 WHIP.

Since filling in for DeGrom, Dunning has stepped up in the spotlight, and the Rangers’ bats are top notch.

They rank 1st in Hits, Runs, Batting Average, and On Base Percentage.

Coming off a loss, the Rangers will be hungry for a win in front of their home crowd, and I think they can get it done.

Depending on who the Blue Jays start on the mound, I think the Rangers RL at +146 is worth a shot.

Total Soaring Under?

At 9.5, the total seems a little high for me, especially considering Dunning is on the mound and these teams only combined for 3 runs last night.

Still, the Rangers are one of the best offensive teams in the league this year. I don’t trust the Blue Jays’ bats to produce runs against Dunning, even coming off an iffy start.

Just 5 days ago, Dunning allowed 3 ER on 6 Hits in 5 innings against the Angels. He walked 5 batters and only struck out 3.

Right hand up, it’s a bit difficult to come up with a solid bet without knowing a starting pitcher. Things can easily change depending on who the Blue Jays put out there, but I think the Rangers win this one by two in a low scoring game.

Let’s say 6-1 Rangers in this contest, staying under 9.5 at -120.
