If you’re an MMA fan, chances are that you know UFC 275 is coming up on Saturday, June 11. The thrilling pay-per-view event airs live from Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore and is surely an event that fans won’t want to miss.
The main card isn’t short on promising bouts, but it’s also important to know that the preliminary and early prelims cards also have matchups that are sure to entertain enthusiasts, regardless of taste.
Here are BetOnline Sportsbook’s odds for each of the UFC 275 preliminary and early prelims matchups, as well as a prediction for each of them.
UFC 275 Preliminary Card and Odds (Odds as of Friday, June 10)
The UFC 275 odds listed below are via BetOnline Sportsbook.
Middleweight: Jacob Malkoun (+240) vs. Brendan Allen (-330)
One of the more intriguing bouts on the preliminary card involves a middleweight collision between Jacob Malkoun (6-1) and Brendan Allen (18-5).
Malkoun enters the fight after back-to-back unanimous decision victories over Abdul Razak Alhassan and AJ Dobson. He’s yet to fight an opponent on Allen’s level yet, hence why he’s the current underdog.
Meanwhile, Allen returns to middleweight after submitting Sam Alvey in his light heavyweight debut back in February. The 26-year-old is 10-2 in his last 12 points and is showing no signs of slowing down.
Prediction: Allen by Decision (+240)
Featherweight: Seung Woo Choi (-260) vs. Joshua Culibao (+196)
Another UFC 275 fight with a clear favorite is the featherweight tilt between Seung Woo Choi (10-4) and Joshua Culibao (9-1-1).
Choi was enjoying a three-fight winning streak before losing to Alex Caceres, via submission, in his last outing in October. He’s had some time to reflect on his loss, making it interesting to see if he can get back on track.
It won’t be easy, though, as Culibao is 9-0-1 in his career as a featherweight. Even though Choi is the better favorite in this match, Culibao appears to have what it takes to pull off the upset in his UFC pay-per-view debut.
Prediction: Culibao Outright (+196)
Lightweight: Steve Garcia (-188) vs. Hayisaer Maheshate (+146)
A pair of lightweight up-and-comers will go head-to-head when Steve Garcia (12-4) and Hayisaer Maheshate (8-1) collide at UFC 275.
After losing his lightweight debut to Luis Peña, Garcia rebounded with a TKO victory over Charlie Ontiveros in his last bout. Each of his last four wins has come by TKO, making it interesting to see if he can keep the trend going.
Garcia will have his hands full with Maheshate, who owns a six-fight winning streak. He also has three of his own TKO victories over that stretch, setting a potential knockout battle this weekend.
Prediction: Garcia Outright (-188)
Welterweight: Jake Matthews (+118) vs. André Fialho (-150)
Another fight that’s shaping up to be a close one is the welterweight matchup scheduled between Jake Matthews (17-5) and André Fialho (16-4)
Matthews is looking to get back in the win column after Sean Brady forced him to submit at UFC 259. He’s now lost two of his last five fights with both of those losses coming by submission, which is a trend he hopes to break in Singapore.
Luckily for Matthews, Fialho isn’t a submission expert. He is a knockout artist, though. The 28-year-old has won six of his last seven fights with each win coming via KO/TKO. He’s earned ‘Performance of the Night’ honors in each of his last two outings, solidifying him as the pick to win.
Prediction: Fialho by KO/TKO (+125)
UFC 275 Early Preliminary Card and Odds
Bantamweight: Kang Kyung-ho (+108) vs. Danaa Batgerel (-138)
The sole men’s fight on the early preliminary card pits Kang Kyung-ho (17-9) against Danaa Batgerel (12-3).
After a rocky start to his career, Kang has now won six of his last eight bouts. He’s coming off a unanimous loss to Rani Yahya in his last fight, so he’ll be looking to turn it around.
Batgerel is also looking to change his fortunes after Chris Gutiérrez knocked him out in March. He had won eight of nine fights before that, leaving time to tell if his last loss was an anomaly or not.
Prediction: Batgerel Outright (-138)
Women’s Strawweight: Liang Na (+114) vs. Silvana Gómez Juárez (-146)
Liang Na (19-5) and Silvana Gómez Juárez (10-4) are both looking to start their own winning streaks when they meet in strawweight action on Saturday.
Liang had won five straight fights before getting knocked out by Ariane Carnelossi in her UFC debut in April 2021. Perhaps the competition was harder than she expected, leaving her needing to make adjustments ahead of the PPV.
On the other hand, Juárez has now lost back-to-back bouts for the first time in her career. She tapped out in both losses, which doesn’t bode well for her against an opponent like Liang, who’s 10-2 when her fights are decided by submission.
Prediction: Liang Outright (+114)
Women’s Featherweight: Ramona Pascual (+142) vs. Joselyne Edwards (-184)
The last early preliminary bout to look at is the women’s featherweight showdown between Ramona Pascual (6-3) and Joselyne Edwards (10-4).
Pascual is coming off a unanimous decision defeat to Josiane Nunes in her UFC debut. She had won four consecutive fights before that loss, potentially signalling that the increased competition is too much for her as well.
Meanwhile, two straight unanimous decision losses have Edwards desperate to turn her career around. She was a solid 10-2 before those losses and needs to score a win to prove that she belongs.
Prediction: Edwards Outright (-184)
