UFC Denver: Namajunas vs. Cortez full preview & prelim picks and best bets are brought to you by BetOnline. BetOnline is a market leader in sportsbooks, offering a variety of options from UFC odds to the NFL and everything in between.
After a two-week hiatus, the Ultimate Fighting Championship is back with UFC Denver (also known as UFC on ESPN 59) on Saturday. It’s going to be an exciting event as some of MMA’s top competitors take over Ball Arena this weekend, especially when you take the plethora of betting opportunities into account.
With so much to digest, Betting News is here to help. Let’s take a look at the latest UFC Denver: Namajunas vs. Cortez odds, as well as my predictions for the main event and preliminary card.
UFC Denver Main Card Fights & Odds
All UFC Denver: Namajunas vs. Cortez odds are courtesy of BetOnline as of Thursday, July 11 at 11:41 a.m.
UFC on ESPN 59 Main Event Pick: Rose Namajunas vs Tracy Cortez — Women’s Flyweight
- Record: Rose Namajunas (12-6) vs. Tracy Cortez (11-1)
- Moneyline: Rose Namajunas (-205) | Tracy Cortez (+175)
- Round total: 4.5 — Over (-280) | Under (+220)
- Most likely method of victory: Namajunas via points (-105)
After losing to Manon Fiorot in her flyweight debut, Rose Namajunas has momentum on her side following a unanimous decision win over Amanda Ribas at UFC Vegas 89. The former two-time strawweight champion now steps into the octagon against Tracy Cortez, who’s on an 11-fight winning streak that’s seen her rack up three consecutive wins since returning to the flyweight division.
All winning streaks must end, though, hence why I’m backing Namajunas this weekend. Cortez has yet to face anyone on Namajunas’ level and it’s going to be even tougher to win given that the latter used to train in Denver’s unforgiving altitudes. Look for this fight to go the distance before the odds-on favorite wins via decision.
Namajunas vs. Cortez Fight Prediction: Rose Namajunas
Namajunas vs. Cortez Best Bet: Namjunas via Points (-105)
UFC on ESPN 59 Co-Main Event: Santiago Ponzinibbio vs Muslim Salikhov — Welterweight
- Record: Santiago Ponzinibbio (29-7) vs. Muslim Salikhov (19-5)
- Moneyline: Santiago Ponzinibbio (-181) | Muslim Salikhov (+156)
- Round total: 1.5 — Over (-210) | Under (+170)
- Most likely method of victory: Ponzinibbio via KO/TKO (+160)

Drew Dober vs. Jean Silva — Lightweight
- Record: Drew Dober (27-13, 1 NC) vs. Jean Silva (13-2)
- Moneyline: Drew Dober (-110) | Jean Silva (-110)
- Round total: 1.5 — Over (-115) | Under (-115)
- Most likely method of victory: Silva via KO/TKO (+185)
Gabriel Bonfim vs. Ange Loosa — Welterweight
- Record: Gabriel Bonfim (15-1) vs. Ange Loosa (10-3, 1 NC)
- Moneyline: Gabriel Bonfim (-301) | Ange Loosa (+251)
- Round total: 1.5 — Over (-165) | Under (+135)
- Most likely method of victory: Bonfim via submission (-105)
Julian Erosa vs. Christian Rodriguez — Featherweight
- Record: Julian Erosa (29-11) vs. Christian Rodriguez (11-1)
- Moneyline: Julian Erosa (+170) | Christian Rodriguez (-200)
- Round total: 2.5 — Over (-155) | Under (+125)
- Most likely method of victory: Rodriguez via points (+195)
Abdul Razak Alhassan vs. Cody Brundage — Middleweight
- Record: Abdul Razak Alhassan (12-6) vs. Cody Brundage (10-6)
- Moneyline: Abdul Razak Alhassan (-170) | Cody Brundage (+145)
- Round total: 1.5 — Over (+120) | Under (-150)
- Most likely method of victory: Alhassan via KO/TKO (-115)

UFC Denver Preliminary Card Odds & Picks
UFC 303 Prelim Fight Record: 8-0
UFC 303 Prelim Best Bet Record: 6-2
Joshua Van vs. Charles Johnson — Flyweight
- Record: Joshua Van (10-1) vs. Charles Johnson (15-6)
- Moneyline: Joshua Van (-220) | Charles Johnson (+185)
- Round total: 2.5 — Over (-340) | Under (+265)
Joshua Van heads into UFC Denver on an eight-fight winning streak, which includes a 3-0 record at the UFC level. He now faces Charles Johnson, who’s coming off back-to-back wins over Azat Maksum and Jake Hadley after losing three fights in a row.
As solid as Johnson has been, Van is more than doubling his significant strike output per minute (9.08 vs.4.48) and holds the grappling advantage, too. I see Johnson being too overwhelmed by the favorite’s attack before Van secures a victory via decision.
Van vs. Johnson Prediction: Joshua Van
Van vs. Johnson Best Bet: Van via points (+100)
Jasmine Jasudavicius vs. Fatima Kline — Women’s Flyweight
- Record: Jasmine Jasudavicius (10-3) vs. Fatima Kline (6-0)
- Moneyline: Jasmine Jasudavicius (-112) | Fatima Kline (-108)
- Round total: 2.5 — Over (-350) | Under (+275)
Fatima Kline is set to make her UFC debut following a solid 6-0 start to her MMA career. Her next opponent won’t be easy to defeat, though, as Jasmine Jasudavicius is 4-2 since making her debut and just convincingly submitted Priscila Cachoeira back in January.
In a fight that oddsmakers see going either way, I’m taking Jasudavicius to win outright. While Kline could go onto big things down the line, Jasudavicius has the clear experience advantage and has already overcome opponents tougher than the underdog.
Jasudavicius vs. Kline Prediction: Jasmine Jasudavicius
Jasudavicius vs. Kline Best Bet: Jasudavicius ML (-112)

Montel Jackson vs. Da’Mon Blackshear — Bantamweight
- Record: Montel Jackson (13-2) vs. Da’Mon Blackshear (14-6-1)
- Moneyline: Montel Jackson (-137) | Da’Mon Blackshear (+117)
- Round total: 2.5 — Over (-210) | Under (+170)
Montel Jackson is one of the hottest bantamweight at the momentum, going 7-1 in his last eight fights while heading into UFC Denver on a four-bout winning streak. Meanwhile, Da’Mon Blackshear has fought to mixed results lately, winning just two of his last five outings as he comes off a unanimous decision loss to Mario Bautista back in August.
It’s hard not to side with Jackson here. Not only does he have the reach advantage over Blackshear, but he also has superior striking offense and defense. Throw in the fact that Blackshear also hasn’t fought in nearly a year despite competing four times in 2023, and it’s easy to see why backing the favorite is the correct choice.
Blackshear doesn’t get finished often, though, so look for Jackson to win via points.
Jackson vs. Blackshear Prediction: Montel Jackson
Jackson vs. Blackshear Best Bet: Jackson via points (+150)
Luana Santos vs. Mariya Agapova — Women’s Flyweight
- Record: Luana Santos (7-1) vs. Mariya Agapova (10-4)
- Moneyline: Luana Santos (-415) | Mariya Agapova (+315)
- Round total: 1.5 — Over (-215) | Under (+175)
Luana Santos has looked terrific since joining the UFC, winning consecutive wins over Juliana Miller and Stephanie Egger. In other words, her outlook looks fairly promising against Mariya Agapova, who’s been finished three times in her last four fights and hasn’t competed since September 2022.
Santos is a solid grappler, so I won’t be shocked if she wins via submission. After all, Agapova was submitted in both of her last two fights before the second round even finished.
Santos vs. Agapova Prediction: Luana Santos
Santos vs. Agapova Best Bet: Santos via submission (+165)

Josh Fremd vs. Andre Petroski — Middleweight
- Record: Josh Fremd (11-5) vs. Andre Petroski (10-3)
- Moneyline: Josh Fremd (-110) | Andre Petroski (-110)
- Round total: 1.5 — Over (-205) | Under (+165)
Life has been rough for Andre Petroski, who’s coming off back-to-back losses (via TKO) for the first time in his six-year career. He’s looking to turn things around against Josh Fremd, who also hasn’t had much luck, going 2-3 across his last five outings while most recently falling to Roman Kopylov by knockout 10 months ago.
Truthfully, I’m not a major fan of wagering on this fight given both fighters’ recent history. But if you’re dead-set on sprinkling something here, I suggest wagering that the fight won’t go the distance. After all, eight of Fremd’s last 11 fights featured a finish while 11 of Petroski’s 13 previous bouts did the same.
Fremd vs. Petroski Prediction: Josh Fremd
Fremd vs. Petroski Best Bet: Fight to go the distance — No (-165)
Evan Elder vs. Darrius Flowers — Welterweight
- Record: Evan Elder (8-2) vs. Darrius Flowers (12-7-1)
- Moneyline: Evan Elder (-410) | Darrius Flowers (+310)
- Round total: 1.5 — Over (-215) | Under (+175)
After suffering back-to-back losses to begin his UFC run, Evan Elder rebounded with a unanimous decision win over Genaro Valdez at UFC on ESPN 49. Meanwhile, Darrius Flowers is off to a 0-2 start following his debut, leaving many to wonder if he belongs at the UFC level.
Flowers is a terrible fighter, so don’t expect him to give the odds-on favorite much of a challenge. Elder will win this last-minute fight by decision before moving on to an opponent who can actually challenge him.
Elder vs. Flowers Prediction: Evan Elder
Elder vs. Flowers Best Bet: Elder via points (+180)
