As mentioned before, this weekend’s UFC Fight Night will be headlined by Arman Tsarukyan (18-2-0) and Mateusz Gamrot (20-1-0) as they meet in lightweight action.

On one hand, you have Tsarukyan. The 25-year-old Armenian-Russian hasn’t lost a fight since his UFC debut against Islam Makhachev. Since then, he’s rattled off victory after victory, riding a five-fight win streak as he heads to Enterprise.

Both of Tsarukyan’s last two victories have been TKO wins over Christos Giagos and Joel Álvarez within the first two rounds, so it’ll be interesting to see if that trend can continue.

It won’t be easy, though, due to the fact that Gamrot has only lost once in his MMA career. Just like Tsarukyan, Gamrot’s loss came in his UFC debut, but he’s managed to win three straight fights since then.

The thing about Gamrot is that he isn’t afraid to win a fight in any way possible. He’s won seven bouts by TKO/KO, five by submission and eight by decision, making him a jack-of-all-trades that’ll be tough for Tsarukyan to deal with.

UFC Fight Night Co-Main Event: Neil Magny (+300) vs. Shavkat Rakhmonov (-440)

A welterweight fight is slated for the night’s co-main event as Neil Magny (26-8-0) and Shavkat Rakhmonov (15-0-0) meet in the middle of the octagon.

Magny is a proven veteran who’s tied for the record for most UFC wins in a calendar year with five. Although he’s faced the occasional hiccup here and there, he’s won five of his last six fights, with each of those meetings ending in unanimous decision.

Meanwhile, Rakhmonov has yet to lose in his career and oddsmakers don’t see that happening at UFC Fight Night. He’s won eight fights by knockout, including his most recent outing that saw him TKO Carlston Harris in the first round, earning ‘Performance of the Night’ honors.

Heavyweight: Josh Parisian (-104) vs. Alan Baudot (-120)

One interesting matchup that fans should keep their eyes on is the heavyweight tilt between Josh Parisian (14-5-0) and Alan Baudot (8-3-0).

Parisian was riding a six-fight winning streak for the better part of 2019 and 2020 before losing two of his last three fights. He was knocked out by Don'Tale Mayes the last time that he stepped in the octagon, leaving time to tell if he can bounce back.

After going 8-1 in his pre-UFC MMA career, Baudot has also lost two of his last three fights and is looking to bounce back. He would’ve lost a third too who he was TKO’d by Rodrigo Nascimento, but the tight was ruled a no-contest after the latter tested positive for ritalinic acid.

Lightweight: Thiago Moisés (-280) vs. Christos Giagos (+210)

A second lightweight fight on the main card will see a Thiago Moisés (15-6-0) vs. Christos Giagos (19-9-0) showdown at UFC Fight Night.

Moisés finds himself in desperate need of a win after losing back-to-back fights for the first time in his career. He was submitted by Islam Makhachev before Joel Álvarez knocked him out, making it interesting to see how he rebounds on Saturday.

Giagos is also looking to snap his losing ways after the aforementioned loss to Tsarukyan. He had won four of five fights prior to that loss and must dig deep to get back to that level.

Bantamweight: Nate Maness (+600) vs. Umar Nurmagomedov (-1100)

In arguably the biggest mismatch of the card, Nate Maness (14-1-0) looks to be the first fighter to hand Umar Nurmagomedov a loss in bantamweight action.

Maness has been impressive in his own right, winning 14 of his 15 career matches, including each of his last four outings. He scored a TKO victory over Tony Gravely in his bantamweight return in September and needs to use every ounce of that momentum this weekend.

Meanwhile, Nurmagomedov has destroyed opponent after opponent, looking like he can’t be stopped. Four of his last five wins have come by submission, with three of those victories occurring in the first round. Needless to say, he’ll be looking to end things early.

Middleweight: Rodolfo Vieira (+108) vs. Chris Curtis (-138)

Fans watching UFC Fight Night will also be treated to a middleweight clash as Rodolfo Vieira (8-1-0) goes one-on-one with Chris Curtis (28-8-0).

A former Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion with a 100-9-1 record, Vieira has had no issue transitioning into MMA. He was riding a seven-fight winning streak before Anthony Hernandez submitted him, but he bounced back with a submission victory over Dustin Stoltzfus.

Curtis will look to stop that momentum after winning seven consecutive fights. He’s won twice by knockout in his first two UFC bouts and has knocked out a total of six opponents over his recent run.

Light Heavyweight: Carlos Ulberg (+100) vs. Tafon Nchukwi (-128)

The preliminary card light heavyweight meeting between Carlos Ulberg (4-1-0) and Tafon Nchukwi (6-2-0) is shaping up to be a close one.

After a successful kickboxing career, Ulberg has looked comfortable in an MMA octagon. He’s coming off a unanimous decision victory over Fabio Cherant at UFC 271 and all eyes will be on him if he can win for the third time in four matches as a light heavyweight.

Although Nchukwi is the betting favorite, the 27-year-old has lost two of his last three fights. Azamat Murzakanov knocked him out in his last fight, making it interesting to see how he handles the loss.

Featherweight: Shayilan Nuerdanbieke (+164) vs. T.J. Brown (-215)

Two featherweight fighters looking to build momentum on Saturday are Shayilan Nuerdanbieke (37-10-0) and T.J. Brown (16-8-0).

Nuerdanbieke might be 1-1 since joining the UFC, but he’s won eight of his last 10 fights overall. He’ll face a tough test in Brown, who’s won back-to-back fights before his return to the featherweight division.

Bantamweight: Raulian Paiva (+116) vs. Sergey Morozov (-148)

Raulian Paiva (21-4-0) and Sergey Morozov (17-5-0) will go head-to-head in a bantamweight fight at UFC Fight Night.

Both fighters are looking to find a victory after losing their last outing. Paiva suffered a first-round TKO loss to Sean O'Malley in his last fight while Morozov was submitted by Douglas Silva de Andrade in the ‘Fight of the Night’ at UFC 271.

Flyweight: JP Buys (-120) vs. Cody Durden (-104)

The sole flyweight showcase of the night sees JP Buys (9-4-0) looking to build some momentum against Cody Durden (12-4-1).

Buys could use a win after losing both of his last two fights. Fortunately, it looks like Durden is ripe for the picking. The Covington, Georgia native is 1-2-1 in his last five fights, losing his last outing to Muhammad Mokaev, via submission in just 58 seconds.

Bantamweight: Brian Kelleher (+144) vs. Mario Bautista (-186)

Another matchup worth checking out at UFC Fight Night is the bantamweight meeting between Brian Kelleher (24-13-0) and Mario Bautista (9-2-0).

Kelleher had won three of four fights before his last matchup, where he became another submission victim of Umar Nurmagomedov. It’s going to be an uphill battle for him against Bautista, who’s picked up a win in three of his last four fights.

Women’s Strawweight: Jinh Yu Frey (-250) vs. Vanessa Demopoulos (+190)

There’s only one women’s fight scheduled for this weekend: a strawweight matchup between Jinh Yu Frey (11-6-0) and Vanessa Demopoulos (7-4-0).

After suffering back-to-back defeats, Frey has bounced back with two straight wins, both by unanimous decision. It’ll be interesting to see if Demopoulos can keep up with her now that ‘Lil Monster’ has lost three of her last five fights. She picked up a win against Silvana Gomez Juarez at UFC 270, but it remains to be seen if she can parlay that into another victory.
