UFC Nashville Fight Card, Odds, and Schedule

The MMA world is buzzing as UFC Nashville is set to take place on Saturday, August 5. The UFC just had a tone of success in Salt Lake City over the weekend, leaving time to tell if the upcoming card successfully capitalizes on that hype.

With so much to anticipate at Bridgestone Arena this weekend, Betting News is making your life easier. Here’s a look at the full UFC Nashville card, complete with the latest betting odds and all of the event information that you need to know.

UFC Nashville Main Card and Odds (Odds via BetOnline as of Tuesday, August 1)

UFC Nashville Main Event: Cory Sandhagen (-325) vs. Rob Font (+275)

The Nashville MMA fans will be treated to a huge catchweight main event as former interim bantamweight title challenger Cory Sandhagen (16-4) takes on the always-dangerous Rob Font.

Sandhagen’s career has been a mixed bag in recent years. After a 14-2 start to his career, he suffered back-to-back losses for the first time, losing to T.J. Dillashaw and Petr Yan in a three-month span in 2021.

Fortunately for him, the “Sandman” seems back on track. He tallied a TKO win over Song Yadong in the main event of UFC Vegas 60 before, most recently, overcoming Marlon Vera by split decision six months later.

Meanwhile, it’ll be interesting to see what version of Font shows up this week. At one point, he was taking the bantamweight division by storm, which included a four-fight winning streak with victories over the likes of Cody Garbrandt and Marlon Moraes.

Much to his dismay, Font’s hot run came to an end with a unanimous decision loss to Jose Aldo at UFC Vegas 44 followed by a loss to Marlon Vera (via UD) almost five months after that.

His losing ways didn’t last long, though. Font returned to the win column with a first-round TKO win over Adrian Yanez at UFC 287, leaving his supporters wondering if this is the start of a new winning streak or not.

UFC Nashville Co-Main Event: Jessica Andrade (+250) vs. Tatiana Suarez (-325)

The UFC Nashville co-main event pits former women’s strawweight champion Jessica Andrade (24-11) head-to-head against The Ultimate Fighter 23 winner Tatiana Suarez (9-0).

Andrade hasn’t been the same since losing her gold, going 4-5 in her last nine fights. She’s looked even worse as time has gone on, having been finished in her last two fighters in the form of losses against Erin Blanchfield (via submission) and Yan Xiaonan (via KO).

On the other side, Suarez aims to continue her undefeated ways at Bridgestone Arena. The BJJ brown belt has finished four opponents in her first six UFC bouts, winning three times by submission and once by knockout. She’s also earned ‘performance of the night’ honors twice.

Light Heavyweight: Dustin Jacoby (+124) vs. Kennedy Nzechukwu (-144)

Dustin Jacoby (18-7-1) is out to stop his losing streak when he takes on Kennedy Nzechukwu (12-3) on Saturday.

Jacoby showed a lot of promise early on in his UFC run, going eight consecutive outings without a loss. But as they say, all good things must come to an end. He now heads into this weekend’s festivities following back-to-back decision losses to Khalil Rountree Jr. and Azamat Murzakanov.

Meanwhile, Nzechukwu has proven to be a streaky fighter. The good news for him is that he’s currently the good kind of streaky, having won his last three fights in a row. Each of those victories feature a finish as Nzechukwu won twice by knockout and once by technical submission.

Featherweight: Diego Lopes (-175) vs. Gavin Tucker (+150)

The UFC Nashville main card also includes featherweight action as Diego Lopes (21-6) steps into the octagon with ex-ECC Featherweight Champion Gavin Tucker (13-2).

Lopes, 28, made a name for himself outside the UFC with 19 finishes in 25 fights. Unfortunately, he hasn’t found any success at MMA’s highest level. He suffered a technical decision loss to Joanderson Brito on Dana White’s Contender Series 2021 before losing to Movsar Evloev via unanimous decision at UFC 288.

Tucker is also in need of a bounce-back performance. The talented Canadian combatant returns to the cage for the first time since March 2021 when he suffered his first-ever knockout loss to Dan Ige. Cage rust can be detrimental, leaving time to tell if it affects “Guv’Nor” this weekend.

Light Heavyweight: Tanner Boser (-152) vs. Aleksa Camur (+132)

Tanner Boser (20-10-1) and Aleksa Camur (6-2) aim to reverse their fortunes when they collide in Nashville.

Boser is currently in the midst of his worst run. The 31-year-old veteran is an abysmal 1-4 in his last five fights, doing little to inspire confidence. He most recently returned to the light heavyweight division in April, only to be knocked out by Ion Cutelaba in just over two minutes.

Camur finds himself in uncharted territory in the coming days. After a 6-0 start to his career, the Bosnian battler now finds himself needing to rebound from back-to-back losses. Does he have what it takes to prove that he’s the real deal? Or was the perfect start to his career just a fluke?

Lightweight: Ignacio Bahamondes (-190) vs. Ludovit Klein (+165)

Igancio Bahamondes (14-4) chases a fourth consecutive victory when he goes up against Ludovit Klein (19-4) at UFC Nashville.

Bahamondes’ UFC career is off to a solid start with four wins in five fights. His latest run saw him defeat Roosevelt Roberts and Rong Zhu by KO and submission, respectively, before overcoming Trey Ogden by unanimous decision at UFC 287.

Meanwhile, Klein could use some consistency after fighting to a 2-2-1 record in his previous five outings. Things looked like they were turning a corner with back-to-back wins to begin 2022, but his momentum was halted when he fought Jai Herbert to a 15-minute draw back in March.

UFC Nashville Preliminary Card and Odds

Featherweight: Billy Quarantillo (-175) vs. Damon Jackson (+150)

One of the standout matchups on the UFC Nashville preliminary card includes Billy Quarantillo (17-5) taking on Damon Jackson (22-5-1, 1NC) in a featherweight fight.

Quarantillo has alternated between wins and losses in his last five fights, most recently getting knocked out by Edson Barboza at UFC Kansas City. Meanwhile, Jackson will be fighting hungry after a KO loss to Dan Ige in January put an end to his four-fight winning streak.

Bantamweight: Kyler Phillips (-217) vs. Raoni Barcelos (+187)

Kyler Phillips (10-2) is the clear favorite in his upcoming fight against the slumping Raoni Barcelos (17-4).

Phillips most recently improved his UFC record to 6-1 with a submission victory over Marcelo Rojo at UFC 271. On the flip side, Barcelos hopes to avoid a fourth loss in five fights after suffering a first-round knockout loss at the hands of Umar Nurmagomedov earlier this year.

Welterweight: Jeremiah Wells (-130) vs. Carlston Harris (+110)

The UFC Nashville preliminary bout between welterweights Jeremiah Wells (12-2-1) and Carlston Harris (18-5) is shaping up to be a close one.

Wells is red-hot at the moment, having won each of his last six outings (three by knockout, two by submission, one by split decision). Standing in his way of another win is Harris, who’s now 6-1 in his last seven fights following a unanimous decision victory against Jared Gooden.

Flyweight: Cody Durden (+170) vs. Jake Hadley (-200)

Jake Hadley (10-1) will try to keep the wins coming when he collides with Cody Durden (15-4-1) in the coming days.

Hadley is gunning for his third win in a row after finishes over Carlos Candelario and Malcolm Gordon in his latest pair of fights. Durden is no slouch, though. The Georgian southpaw is 4-2-1 since joining the UFC and has emerged victorious in each of his last three bouts.

Flyweight: Ode Osbourne (+168) vs. Assu Almabayev (-193)

Ode Osbourne (12-5, 1NC) has an uphill battle in his way when he takes on the debuting Assu Almabayev (17-2) at UFC Nashville.

Osbourne has three wins in his last four fights and is fresh off a split-decision win over Charles Johnson at UFC Vegas 70. Things won’t be easy against Almabayev, who’s riding a 13-fight winning streak into his debut and has won five of his last nine fights by submissions.
