UFC on ABC 4 Main Card and Odds (Odds as of Tuesday, May 9)
The UFC on ABC 4 odds listed below are via BetOnline Sportsbook.
UFC on ABC 4 Main Event: Jairzinho Rozenstruik (+390) vs. Jailton Almeida (-590)
Jairzinho Rozenstruik (13-4) finds himself as the heavy underdog in this Saturday night’s main event. The Surinamese combatant has struggled to build momentum after a 10-0 start to his career, going 3-4 in the subsequent seven fights. Even worse is that he was knocked out twice over that span.
After back-to-back losses to Curtis Blaydes and Alexander Volkov, Rozenstruik got back into the win column with a first-round TKO victory over Chris Daukaus at UFC 282. While the 23-second victory was impressive, the 35-year-old has a tough test ahead of him.
Jailton Almeida (18-2) has fought like one of the best heavyweights on the planet over the last few years. He heads into UFC on ABC 4 riding a 13-fight winning streaking, finishing every single one of those opponents.
Although Almeida is known for his submission skills, he’s more than capable of knocking the competition out. He proved that by TKO’ing Shamil Abdurakhimov at UFC 283, earning ‘Performance of the Night’ honors for his work.
UFC on ABC 4 Co-Main Event: Anthony Smith (-106) vs. Johnny Walker (-120)
As mentioned before, the co-main event of the weekend sees Anthony Smith (36-17) and Johnny Walker (20-7) colliding in a light heavyweight clash.
Between 2020 and 2021, Smith went on an impressive run, defeating the trio of Devin Clark, Jimmy Crute, and Ryan Spann all by first-round finishes. Unfortunately, his momentum came to a screeching halt when Magomed Ankalaev knocked him out at UFC 277.
Meanwhile, Walker looks like he finally broke out of a slump that plagued him for three years. He broke out of his losing ways when he submitted Ion Cutelaba at UFC 279 before knocking out Paul Craig just four months ago.
Welterweight: Daniel Rodriguez (+200) vs. Ian Garry (-265)
Daniel Rodriguez (17-3) attempts to overcome the odds when he takes on Ian Garry (11-0) at UFC on ABC 4.
Though he’s the underdog, Rodriguez has been on a solid 8-2 run since joining the UFC. Having said that, he needs to show that he can get back on track after a submission loss to Neil Magny ended his streak of four consecutive wins.
On the other side, Garry looks to remain undefeated. The former Cage Warriors Welterweight Champion has won all four of his fights since making his UFC debut, most recently taking down Song Kenan by TKO back in March.
Welterweight: Alex Morono (-225) vs. Tim Means (+172)
Alex Morono (22-8, 1NC) and Tim Means (32-14-1, 1NC) both look to return to the win column when they meet for a welterweight scrap at Spectrum Center.
Morono began to catch some attention over the past few years with a four-fight winning streak that saw him overcome names like Donald Cerrone and Matthew Semelsberger. Unfortunately, that streak came to an end with a third-round knockout loss to Santiago Ponzinibbio at UFC 282.
Means, on the other hand, is coming off back-to-back losses. He submitted to Kevin Holland’s D’Arce choke in June 2022 before falling to Max Griffin via split decision just four months later.
UFC on ABC 4 Preliminary Card
Welterweight: Matt Brown (+148) vs. Court McGee (-194)
The UFC on ABC 4 preliminary card is highlighted by a welterweight brawl between Matt Brown (23-19) and Court McGee (21-11).
It’s not a shock to see Brown was the underdog considering how he’s 4-8 in his last 12 fights, most recently losing to Bryan Barberena by split decision over a year ago. Having said that, McGee is only 3-6 in his previous nine bouts and was just knocked out by Jeremiah Wells in his latest outing. In other words, this fight could go either way.
Heavyweight: Karl Williams (-430) vs. Chase Sherman (+300)
Karl Williams (8-1) aims to keep the momentum coming when he fights Chase Sherman (16-11) in a heavyweight showcase.
Williams is currently riding a five-fight winning streak, going 2-0 in the UFC with back-to-back unanimous decision wins over Jimmy Lawson and Lukasz Brzeski. Needless to say, it’s going to be an uphill battle for Sherman, who has lost five of his previous six outings.
Bantamweight: Cody Stamann (-174) vs. Douglas Silva de Andrade (+136)
Cody Stamann (21-5-1) goes one-on-one with Douglas Silva de Andrade (28-5, 1NC) in an exciting bantamweight meeting on the UFC on ABC 4 preliminary card.
After struggling in his return to the bantamweight division, Stamann has since rattled off back-to-back victories over Eddie Wineland and Luan Lacerda. Meanwhile, Silva de Andrade tries to get back into the win column after a unanimous decision loss to Said Nurmagomedov at UFC Vegas 58.
Light Heavyweight: Carlos Ulberg (-370) vs. Ihor Potieria (+265)
Carlos Ulberg (7-1) aims to put his finishing abilities on display in a light heavyweight collision with Ihor Potieria (19-3) on Saturday.
Ulberg has already amassed three KO/TKO victories in five UFC fights, knocking out Tafon Nchukwi and Nicolae Negumereanu in his most recent two outings. Standing in his way is Potieria, who rebounded from a knockout loss to Negumereanu by TKO’ing Mauricio Rua in Round 1 at UFC 283.
Lightweight: Natan Levy (-295) vs. Pete Rodriguez (+220)
The UFC on ABC 4 prelims also feature Natan Levy (8-1) duking it out with Pete Rodriguez (5-1) in lightweight action.
Momentum is on Levy’s side following two straight unanimous decision victories against Mike Breeden and Genaro Valdez. Meanwhile, a TKO loss to Jack Della Maddalena in his UFC debut didn’t deter Rodriguez too much as the Tucson, AZ native bounced back by knocking Mike Jackson out back in October.
Women’s Flyweight: Ji Yeon Kim (-230) vs. Mandy Bohm (+176)
This weekend’s festivities also include women’s action as Ji Yeon Kim (9-6-2) hopes to end her losing ways when she faces Mandy Bohm (7-2, 1NC) in a flyweight fight.
Kim returns to the flyweight division after losing to Joselyne Edwards in a bantamweight matchup, pushing the former’s losing streak to four consecutive outings. Bohm doesn’t have much momentum on her side either, falling to Ariane Lipski and Victoria Leonardo via points in her most recent bouts.
Welterweight: Bryan Battle (TBD) vs. Gabriel Green (TBD)
Another interesting preliminary fight sees Bryan Battle (8-2) and Gabriel Green (11-4) going head-to-head in a welterweight contest.
Battle’s seven-fight winning streak came to an unfortunate end at UFC Vegas 66 with a unanimous decision loss to Rinat Fakhretdinov. On the other side, Green looks for answers after coming up short against Garry at UFC 276, losing by points as well.
Women’s Bantamweight: Jessica-Rose Clark (-128) vs. Tainara Lisboa (+100)
Lastly, UFC on ABC 4 viewers can also catch Jessica-Rose Clark (11-8, 1NC) taking on Tainara Lisboa (5-2) in women’s bantamweight competition.
After back-to-back wins to begin her UFC tenure, Clark going 2-4 in her last six fights, submitting to Stephanie Egger and Julija Stoliarenko in her latest bouts. She’ll have her hands full with the debuting Lisboa, who has finished off each of her previous three opponents (two by TKO, one by submission).
