UFC Singapore Fight Card and Odds (Odds via BetOnline as of Monday, August 12)
UFC Singapore Main Event: Max Holloway (-725) vs. The Korean Zombie (+525)
UFC Singapore is headlined by a huge matchup between former featherweight champion Max Holloway (24-7) and “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung (17-7).
Holloway is in an interesting spot as he looks to make his way back up the rankings. While his 4-3 record in his last seven fights isn’t overly impressive, it’s worth noting that all three losses came to Alexander Volkanovski by some form of decision.
Nevertheless, time will tell if Holloway can capitalize on his most recent success this weekend. He was last seen in April when he scored a unanimous decision win over Arnold Allen.
On the other hand, Korean Zombie desperately needs a rebound performance Saturday. He’s coming off a TKO loss to Volkanovski at UFC 273 that saw that former fail to capture the UFC Featherweight Championship.
Jung is a tough competitor, though, and even though the odds aren’t in his favor, he shouldn’t be underestimated. After all, he’s 3-0 after being knocked out in the previous fight.
UFC Singapore Co-Main Event: Anthony Smith (+110) vs. Ryan Spann (-130)
Anthony Smith (36-18) hopes to stop the bleeding when he takes on Ryan Spann (21-8) in a light heavyweight clash.
Smith heads into UFC Singapore following back-to-back losses. He was knocked out by Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 277 before losing to Johnny Walker via points just three months ago.
Meanwhile, Spann looks to avoid consecutive losses for the first time in over six years. He couldn’t get the job done against Nikita Krylov back in March, submitting to a triangle choke just 3:38 into the first round.

Featherweight: Giga Chikadze (-230) vs. Alex Caceres (+195)
Giga Chikadze (14-3) returns to the octagon for the first time since January 2022 to take on Alex Caceres (21-13, 1NC), who’s in the midst of a fantastic run.
Injuries kept him sidelined, but Chikadze is ready to get back on track. He most recently lost to Calvin Kattar via unanimous decision 19 months ago, but was on a nine-fight winning streak before that defeat.
Caceres shouldn’t be underestimated, though. The Miami, Florida native is 7-1 in his last eight fights and is coming off a UD victory over Daniel Pineda, deemed the ‘fight of the night’ at UFC Vegas 74.
Bantamweight: Rinya Nakamura (-800) vs. Fernie Garcia (+550)
The undefeated Rinya Nakamura (7-0) is the clear-cut favorite in his bantamweight showdown with Fernie Garcia (10-3) at UFC Singapore.
Nakamura’s UFC run is off to a 3-0 start following his winning the Road to UFC Season 1 Bantamweight Tournament. He showed how dangerous he is by winning each of those fights in the first round, ending things twice by KO and once by submission.
Garcia, meanwhile, must prove that he belongs at the top MMA promotion. He heads into this weekend’s festivities following back-to-back UD losses to Journey Newson and Brady Hiestand, leaving many fans to doubt whether he has what it takes to hand Nakamura his first loss.
Women’s Flyweight: Erin Blanchfield (-136) vs. Taila Santos (+116)
Erin Blanchfield (11-1) and Taila Santos (19-2) were supposed to headline UFC Vegas 69 until Santos ran into visa issues that prevented her from entering the United States. Now, the pair will settle things Saturday.
Blanchfield is on a roll, having won each of her last eight outings. She’s been displaying a reliable finishing ability as of late, highlighted by each of her last three victories coming via submission before the end of the second round.
Santos challenged Valentina Shevchenko for the women’s flyweight title at UFC 275, but couldn’t get the job done as she lost via split decision. It was also the last time that the UFC was in Singapore, leaving time to tell if Santos is ready to put the loss behind her as she finally returns to the cage.

Heavyweight: Junior Tafa (-170) vs. Parker Porter (+145)
The UFC Singapore main card also features a huge heavyweight bout between Junior Tafa (4-1) and Parker Porter (14-8).
Tafa’s UFC career didn’t exactly start on the right foot as the picked up a unanimous decision loss to Mohammed Usman four months ago. It was the first time that the “Juggernaut” tasted defeat, making it enjoyable to see how (or if) he bounces back.
Porter, at the same time, is coming off a solid first-round KO victory over Braxton Smith at UFC 288. One interesting fact about this fight is that Porter already fought Tafa’s brother — Justin — at UFC 284, but was ultimately KO’d at 1:06 into the opening frame.
UFC Singapore Preliminary Card Odds
Heavyweight: Waldo Cortes-Acosta (-223) vs. Lukasz Brzeski (+188)
The UFC Singapore preliminary lineup is highlighted by the heavyweight collision between Waldo Cortes-Acosta (9-1) and Lukasz Brzeski (8-3-1, 1NC).
All eyes are on Cortes-Acosta to see how he responds to the first-ever loss of his career — a UD loss to Marcos Rogerio de Lima back in April. Meanwhile, Brzeski is still searching for his first UFC victory after going 0-2 with a no-contest in his first three bouts.
Bantamweight: Toshiomi Kazama (+127) vs. Garrett Armfield (-147)
Toshiomi Kazama (10-3) goes head-to-head with Garrett Armfield (8-3) in bantamweight action this weekend.
Kazama is the slight underdog this weekend after being knocked out twice in his last three fights. On the other hand, Armfield is also coming off a loss after his technical submission defeat at the hands of David Onama just over one year ago.

Middleweight: Chidi Njokuani (+101) vs. Michał Oleksiejczuk (-121)
Saturday’s middleweight matchup between Chidi Njokuani (22-9, 1NC) and Michal Oleksiejczuk (18-6, 1NC) is shaping up to go either way judging by the odds.
Nevertheless, Njokuani could use the win after suffering losses in both of his last two fights. Meanwhile, Oleksiejczuk was most recently submitted by Caio Borralho earlier this year, dropping his record to 4-4 in his eight previous outings.
Welterweight: Song Kenan (+260) vs. Rolando Bedoya (-310)
Song Kenan (19-7) is the massive underdog when he takes on Rolando Bedoya (14-2) at UFC Singapore.
Although Song’s UFC run started with promise, the 33-year-old is heads overseas on the heels of back-to-back KO/TKO losses. Standing in his way is the hungry Bedoya, who came up short (via split decision) in his debut against Kalinn Williams.
Welterweight: Billy Goff (+125) vs. Yusaku Kinoshita (-145)
Billy Goff (8-2) puts his six-fight winning streak on the line when he steps into the octagon with Yusaku Kinoshita (6-2) in the coming days.
Goff made his highly anticipated debut on Dana White’s Contender Series 2022, knocking out Shimon Smotritsky in the first round. Although Kinoshita also scored a win on DWCS2022, he couldn’t build off that victory as he wound up losing to Adam Fugitt (via TKO) just six months later.
Women’s Flyweight: Liang Na (+410) vs. JJ Aldrich (-575)
A glance at the above odds proves that oddsmakers don’t exactly like Liang Na’s (19-6) chances of defeating JJ Aldrich (11-6) at UFC Singapore.
Liang’s UFC run has been a disaster thus far, picking up knockout losses to both Ariane Carnelossi and Silvana Gomez Juarez. Having said that, Aldrich is also 0-2 in her two previous fights, losing once by submission and another time via UD.

Featherweight: Seung Woo Choi (-160) vs. Jarno Errens (+140)
Lastly, Seung Woo Choi (10-6) searches for his first win in over two years when he faces off with Jarno Errens (13-4-1) in the coming days.
Choi has come up short in each of his last three fights, most recently losing via KO to Michael Trizano last November. Errens isn’t exactly in a good spot either after suffering a majority decision defeat in his debut bout against William Gomis.
