The UFC is back in Las Vegas, Nevada for the second week in a row. UFC Vegas 74 takes over the Apex on Saturday, June 3, bringing another action-packed card featuring some of the best MMA fighters in the world.
Kara-France vs Albazi to Headline UFC Vegas 74
A clash between Jack Hermansson and Brendan Allen was supposed to headline UFC Vegas 74 before Hermansson had to pull out due to injury. Instead, the night will be headlined by a flyweight showdown between Kai Kara-France (24-10, 1NC) and Amir Albazi (16-1).
Kara-France is currently the No. 3-ranked fighter in the UFC while Albazi isn’t too far behind at No. 7. A victory here would give either man’s career a huge boost, adding to the exciting atmosphere in Sin City this week.

UFC Vegas 74 Main Card and Odds (Odds as of Tuesday, May 30)
The UFC Vegas 74 odds listed below are via BetOnline Sportsbook.
UFC Vegas 74 Main Event: Kai Kara-France (-113) vs. Amir Albazi (-113)
Kara-France heads into UFC Vegas 74 with a solid resume since joining the promotion. He’s gone 7-3 in his first 10 UFC fights, which includes being named ‘performer of the night’ twice.
From 2021 to early 2022, Kara-France was on a three-fight winning streak, which included a pair of knockout wins over Rogerio Bontorin and Cody Garbrandt. His impressive run earned him a shot at the interim UFC Flyweight Championship at UFC 277, however, he couldn’t get the job done, losing to Brandon Moreno by third-round knockout.
Meanwhile, Albazi heads into UFC Vegas 74 on a five-fight winning streak. He’s racked up four consecutive victories to begin his UFC career, finishing off three of those opponents. Two of those wins came by submission over Malcom Gordon and Francisco Figueiredo while another came by KO against Alessandro Costa in his latest outing.
Unlike Kara-France, Albazi has never had a shot at UFC gold before, so he’ll be determined to get one step closer with a win this Saturday.
UFC Vegas 74 Co-Main Event: Alex Caceres (-192) vs. Daniel Pineda (+148)
The co-main event at the Apex is a featherweight showdown between Alex Caceres (20-13, 1NC) and Daniel Pineda (28-14, 3NC).
Caceres is the clear favorite thanks to the hot run he’s been on. The 34-year-old veteran has won six of his past seven outings, doing what it takes to rise up the division ranks. His most recent outing saw him pick up a first-round TKO victory over Julian Erosa, which also took place at the Apex.
Meanwhile, Pineda’s UFC run has been a mixed bag. On one hand, he has finishes over Herbert Burns and Tucker Lutz. On the other, he’s also been knocked out by Cub Swanson and fought Andre Fili to a no-contest after getting his eye poked. Until Pineda starts winning consistently, he’s tough to trust.
Lightweight: Jim Miller (+154) vs. Jared Gordon (-200)
Jim Miller (35-17, 1NC) looks to return to the win column when he takes on Jared Gordon (19-6, 1NC) in Las Vegas.
Miller’s three-fight winning streak came to an end when he fell to Alexander Hernandez by unanimous decision back in February. Meanwhile, Gordon hasn’t had an easy time winning as of late. He’s only won one of his last four fights and was most recently knocked unconscious when he and Bobby Green collided heads last month, resulting in a no-contest.
Flyweight: Tim Elliott (-192) vs. Victor Altamirano (+148)
Tim Elliott (18-12-1) and Victor Altamirano (12-2) are set for a flyweight clash on the UFC Vegas 74 main card.
After a struggle-filled run, Elliott has found success over the last few years. He’s won three of his last four fights, taking home the trio of victories by unanimous decision.
On the flip side, Altamirano hopes to keep his winning ways going. After a split-decision loss to Carlos Hernandez in February 2022, the 32-year-old Texan has back-to-back victories over Daniel da Silva and Vinicius Salvador by KO and points, respectively.
Women's Flyweight: Karine Silva (-245) vs. Ketlen Souza (+186)
The main card also features some women’s flyweight action as Karine Silva (15-4) goes one-on-one with Kelten Souza (13-3).
Silva has been dominating the competition, bringing a six-fight winning streak with her into the weekend. What’s even more impressive is that she’s finished each one of those opponents, winning four times by submission and twice by TKO.
Souza, on the other side, is making her UFC debut. The former Invicta FC Flyweight Champion has racked up five straight victories, winning the first two by knockout before winning three straight by unanimous decision.
Lightweight: Jamie Mullarkey (+255) vs. Guram Kutateladze (-350)
The odds aren’t in Jamie Mullarkey’s (16-5) favor when he takes on Guram Kutateladze (12-3) in the coming days.
Mullarkey has been heating up, going 4-1 in his last five fights. After getting knocked out by Michael Johnson at UFC 272, the 28-year-old Australian has won each of his last two outings by points.
Meanwhile, Kutateladze aims to get back on track at UFC Vegas 74 after a split-decision loss to Damir Ismagulov snapped a nine-fight run. The “Georgian Viking” is as dangerous as they come, though, notching seven of his 12 victories by KO/TKO.
UFC Vegas 74 Preliminary Card
Welterweight: Abubakar Nurmagomedov (-106) vs. Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos (-120)
MMA enthusiasts can expect a hard-hitting battle when Abubakar Nurmagomedov (17-3-1) takes on Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos (23-7) in Las Vegas.
After losing his UFC debut, Nurmagomedov has picked up back-to-back victories against Jared Gooden and Gadzhi Omargadzhiev, both by points. Meanwhile, Zaleski dos Santos has been victorious in nine of his previous 11 outings, but hasn’t fought since defeating Benoit Saint-Denis by points about 18 months ago.
Bantamweight: John Castaneda (TBD) vs. Mateus Mendonca (TBD)
Get ready for a bantamweight showdown as John Castaneda (19-6) faces off against Mateus Mendonca (10-1) at UFC Vegas 74.
Castaneda hopes to get back on track after suffering a second-round knockout loss to Daniel Santos back in October. Meanwhile, Mendonca is coming off a loss as well, losing to Javid Basharat by unanimous decision in the former’s UFC Fight Night debut.
Heavyweight: Andrei Arlovski (+100) vs. Don'Tale Mayes (-128)
This weekend’s preliminary card also features a meeting between former UFC Heavyweight Champion Andrei Arlovski (34-21, 2NC) and Don’Tale Mayes (9-5, 1NC).
Arlovski looked like he was turning his career around with a four-fight winning streak, however, it came to an end with a submission loss to Marcos Rogrio de Lima at UFC Vegas 63. At the same time, Mayes is winless in his last two outings, most recently falling to Augusto Sakai by points three months ago.
Women’s Strawweight: Elise Reed (-132) vs. Jinh Yu Frey (+104)
Elise Reed (6-3) looks to take advantage of Jinh Yu Frey’s (11-8) losing ways when they meet for a strawweight bout.
Reed has alternated between wins and losses in her last six fights, submitting to Loma Lookboonmee in her most recent appearance. Frey hasn’t had much better luck, though, recording her second of back-to-back defeats with a 47-second knockout loss to Polyana Viana at the end of 2022.
Bantamweight: Daniel Santos (-215) vs. Johnny Munoz Jr. (+164)
Daniel Santos (11-2) and Johnny Munoz Jr. (12-2) aim to prove themselves in a bantamweight showdown at UFC Vegas 74.
Santos has tallied wins in three of his previous four fights by finishing each of those opponents, winning twice by knockout and once by submission. Only time will tell if he can keep the momentum coming against Munoz, who’s gone 2-1 as a bantamweight in the UFC.
Bantamweight: Da'Mon Blackshear (+120) vs. Luan Lacerda (-154)
Da’Mon Blackshear (12-5-1) hopes to pull off an upset when he goes head-to-head with Luan Lacerda (12-2) at the Apex.
Blackshear has gone winless in the UFC thus far, fighting Youssef Zalal to a majority draw before losing to Farid Basharat unanimously by points. Meanwhile, Lacerda is out for revenge for a loss to Cody Stamann in January ended his winning ways at 10 consecutive fights.
Light Heavyweight: Philipe Lins (+112) vs. Maxim Grishin (-142)
Philipe Lins (16-5) guns for his third straight win when he faces Maxim Grishin (32-9-2) on Saturday.
Lins has gone 2-0 since returning to the light heavyweight division, most recently picking up a first-round KO win over Ovince Saint Preux in February. Grishin, on the other hand, makes his division return after defeating William Knight by unanimous decision in a heavyweight scrap at UFC 271.
