The NFL’s Regular Season came to a close last night, with a crazy Week 18 finally in the books. The Wild Card matchups are set but you’re not here for that. You’re here for NBA Basketball.
We’ve got 9-games on tonight’s slate and some great matchups across the league.
Kevin Durant and the Suns have lost 7 of their L8 games and now roll into Philadelphia to play a Sixers team that’s won 10 of their L15 games.
Elsewhere in the league, we’ve got the Clippers rolling into Minnesota after a 1-game trip back to LA to face the Hawks. Kawhi made his season debut for the Clippers, playing 19 minutes in a blowout win over the Hawks.
At the same time, we’ve got Victor Wembanyama landing in Chicago to take on the Chicago Bulls, INSIDE the House that Jordan Built.
With so many great matchups tonight, let’s jump right into my favorite props.
Here are our favorite props in the NBA tonight.
-
- Norman Powell o3.5 3s (+155)
- Kevin Durant o25.5 Points (-105)
Norman Powell o3.5 3s (+100)
Norman Powell has been so good this season, averaging 23.6 PPG while shooting 48% and 44% from beyond the arc. Powell’s finally got the starting role and he’s got no plans on giving it up. In this new role with the Clippers, Powell is playing 33 minutes per game and leading the team in scoring.
Los Angeles is currently in the middle of a “extended road trip” after going home for just one, now back on the road to play the Timberwolves and the Nuggets. In their last game against the Hawks, the Clippers welcomed Kawhi Leonard into the starting lineup, even though he did play just 19 minutes in a blowout win.
Powell scored 20 points in this game, shooting 50% from the field and playing just 29 minutes due to the blowout. James Harden was also back in the lineup, recording 15 assists in just 29 minutes of game play.
Why’s it important Harden sat? It’s because Powell’s number’s with Harden in the lineup are just bonkers. This year with Harden in the lineup, Powell is shooting 46% from 3, averaging 24.6 PPG and that number jumps to 26.5 over their L10 games together. Powell’s hit 4+ 3s in 16 of the 26 games with Harden in the lineup, shooting 46% from beyond the arc.
Bonus: Norman Powell 5+ 3s (+360)

Kevin Durant o25.5 Points (-105)
This line feels a little trappy but it’s Kevin Durant and he’s playing the Philadelphia 76ers. The Sixers rank 11th in points allowed but 27th in opponent shooting percentage and 27th in opponent true shooting percentage. The Sixers’ points allowed number is misleading, it’s more indicative of their slow pace of play than it is their defensive prowess.
The Suns started the season looking unstoppable, winning 9 of their first 11 games of the year. Kevin Durant and the Suns have now lost 7 of their L8 games and have turned to desperate measures to try and fix things in the desert. Bradley Beal and Jusuf Nurkic have been demoted to the bench and the Suns shakeup comes in the midst of road trip out east.
KD’s played 38+ minutes in 7 of his L8 games, averaging 21 shot attempts per game over his L10 and averaging 30 PPG (50%) in that span. Durant’s also scored 25+ points in 4 of his L5 games on the road and 7 of his L10 games overall.
Earlier this season, the Suns hosted a Sixers team that was missing Joel Embiid and escaped with a narrow 2-point win. Durant recorded 35 points on 14/20 from the field; going 2/5 from 3 and 5/5 from the free throw line.
KD’s got great history against this Sixers team and since leaving the Thunder, Durant’s recorded 25 or more points in 11 of his L13 games. If the Suns are getting back into the win column, it’ll be through Kevin Durant. If this is a trap, consider me trapped.
Kevin Durant o25.5 Points (-105)
Bonus: Kevin Durant 30+ (+210)
