Prediction

It is going to be a very interesting series between the top seed Bucks and the 8 seed Heat, as the first couple games will decide if this series even sniffs more than 4 or 5 games.

There is a rich recent playoff history between these two teams, with the Heat demolishing the Bucks in 5 games in 2020 and the Bucks sweeping the Heat in 2021.

Milwaukee was fantastic all season, lead by the Greek Freak Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Bucks were 58-24 and were especially exceptional at home, going 32-9 in Fiserv Forum Arena.

Tonight, the Bucks and Giannis get a chance to start their quest towards another NBA title at home against the Heat, fresh off of a gutsy win at home to clinch their playoff spot.

Jimmy Butler was sensational on Friday night against the Bulls, dropping 31 points and carrying the Heat into the playoffs.

Butler is going to have to be Superman again today and in this entire series for the Heat to make sure they don’t repeat their fate of 2021.

Tonight, while I have no doubt Giannis and the Bucks get the job done to go up 1-0 in this series, I like the Heat to stay around and keep this game within striking distance.

Yesterday, we saw the Celtics and 76ers handle their business in Game 1 with 10+ point wins but I don’t think we see that today.

Give me the Heat to cover, and Jimmy to be awesome once again.
