Love isn’t the only thing in the air on Valentine’s Day. There’s also a lot of basketball.
The NBA has 13 games scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 14, including two national broadcasts starting with a clash between the Chicago Bulls (26-28) and Cleveland Cavaliers (35-17) at 7:30 p.m. ET.

The Bulls have been playing some solid basketball lately, improving to 3-1 SU in their last four games with Monday’s 136-126 win over the Atlanta Hawks. The Cavaliers, meanwhile, hope to bounce back after falling 123-121 to the Philadelphia 76ers to begin the week.
These teams’ championship odds couldn’t be any more different as we approach the All-Star Break. Cleveland currently holds the 14th-best 2023-24 NBA Finals odds (+4000) while Chicago sits tied for 21st (+75000), according to Bovada’s futures markets.

Bulls vs Cavaliers Prediction & NBA Pick Today (2/14): Can Chicago Slow Down Cleveland?
It’s no secret that the Cavaliers are the hottest team in the NBA. After a back-and-forth start to the campaign, the Cavs are 17-2 SU (13-6 ATS) in their last 19 games and had won nine consecutive outings before losing to the 76ers on Monday.
Unsurprisingly, most of Cleveland’s recent success stems from stellar defensive play, which has been the case for most of the season. The Cavaliers only allow 109.3 PPG (2nd) on 45.5% field-goal (4th) and 35.7% three-point (11th) percentages.
As for the Bulls, scoring has been a struggle all year long. Although Billy Donovan’s team is decently accurate with a 47.0 FG% (11th) and 36.7 3P% (17th), the 111.9 PPG they average ranks sixth-worst in the association.
Sure, Chicago is coming off a 136-point performance just two nights ago, but that came against Atlanta — the worst defensive team in the NBA. Chances are the Bulls will struggle to find similar success against the Cavaliers.
Inconsistent scoring has been an issue for the Bulls throughout the 2023-24 NBA season.
Speaking of offensive struggles, the Bulls didn’t get any offense going in two previous matchups with the Cavaliers this season. Cleveland silenced Chicago in a 109-95 victory at the United Center on Dec. 23 before tallying a 109-91 win at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse less than a month later.
With those victories, the Cavaliers now have six consecutive wins over the Bulls, holding them to a 101.2 PPG clip while also outscoring them by an average of 14.0 points. On top of that, Chicago is 1-5 SU in its last six trips to Cleveland, which includes losing each of the last three.
It’s also worth noting that the Bulls are just 3-6 SU against the Central Division this season while the Cavaliers are 7-4 SU against their divisional rivals. Cleveland just knows how to get the job done against the division when the odds are in its favor, going 5-1 SU as the favorite in those contests. For reference, Chicago is 2-4 SU as the underdog in Central Division tilts.
As far as injuries go, Torrey Craig (toe), Alex Caruso (toe), and Dalen Terry (knee) will all be game-time decisions for the Bulls. Regarding the Cavaliers, Dean Wade (illness/questionable) is the only injury designation.
The Cavaliers have had the Bulls’ number for a while now. Will that trend continue tonight?
Although the Bulls have played well lately, the Cavaliers won’t lose this game. The Cavs are one of the best teams in the NBA and have already proven that they’re better than the Bulls, dominating them in the first two meetings. Considering how difficult it is for visitors to win in Cleveland this season, I see Chicago coming up short, once again, tonight.
As for the best bet, I’m taking the Cavaliers to cover the spread. Is a 9.5-point spread big? Yes, but Cleveland is more than capable of covering. For starters, the Cavs are 11-5 ATS in their last 16 games and 4-1 ATS in their last five home games played on a Wednesday.
While the Bulls are 8-4 ATS across their last 12 outings, they’re only 0-5-1 ATS in their last six games against the Cavaliers, losing both of this season’s previous encounters by at least 14 points.
With how good they are on the defensive side of the ball, I see the Cavaliers holding the Bulls off to win by a wide margin.

Best Bulls vs Cavaliers NBA Prop Bet (2/14)
After going through the various Bulls vs. Cavaliers player props, I’m eyeing the Over on Jarrett Allen’s 16.5-point total.
The former Texas Longhorn is averaging 15.6 points on 64.5% shooting this season, but his play has improved lately. Over his last 11 games, Allen is averaging 18.5 PPG while shooting 59.2% from the field, finishing with more than 16.5 points in seven of those games — including the two most recent ones.
The Over is also 3-1 in Allen’s last four encounters with the Cavaliers, averaging 18.3 PPG along the way. In other words, expect business as usual tonight.
