See Picks & Statistics For The GameNBA fans around the world are being treated to a pair of Game 6’s on Wednesday, May 13, including one between the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks.
The Bucks were down 88-77 entering the fourth quarter in Game 5, only to fight and claw back for the 110-108 victory. Momentum is officially on their side ahead of tonight’s contest and head coach Mike Budenholzer will do what he can so his team starts off on the right foot.
Meanwhile, the Celtics now have to deal with the task of trying to even the series on the road. Boston did win its last outing to Fiserv Forum on Monday and will need a similar effort tonight in order to win.
Can the Celtics keep their postseason hopes alive with a victory? Or will the Bucks advance to their third Eastern Conference Finals in four years?

Celtics Look to Even Series on the Road
The Celtics must do everything they can to force a Game 7 tonight, but things are going to be even tougher with them being on the road.
The good news is that Boston has been fantastic on the road lately, going 17-4 in its last 21 games away from TD Garden. They’re averaging 117.8 points per game over that span and have only one road loss in the 2021-22 NBA Playoffs.
On the other hand, each of the Celtics’ last two road losses has come against the Bucks, making it interesting to see how they solve that issue tonight.
They’ll be counting on their top stars to show up against the Bucks in Game 6. Jayson Tatum had a 34-point effort on Wednesday, but his 2-of-11 shooting from three-point range left a lot to be desired.
Nevertheless, Tatum has scored 29-plus points in three of his last four games this series and needs to keep that momentum going.
Jaylen Brown also had a respectable 26 points on .474/.429/.833 shooting, but none of the other Celtics players really showed up last time around. That was highlighted by Al Horford and Grant Williams combining for only eight points while shooting 4-of-10 from the field.
The Celtics are capable of being one of the best teams in the NBA on any given night. If they want to prove that tonight, everyone must show up and contribute.
Bucks Can’t Miss Opportunity to Advance
This isn’t technically a do-or-die game for the Bucks, but it may as well be.
A loss would see the series head back to Boston with the Celtics holding all the momentum and that’s just not something Milwaukee can afford to risk.
Fortunately, the Bucks’ late-game efforts to win Game 6 showed that they can dig down when it counts and come up clutch when the moment needs it.
They’ll be counting on Giannis Antetokounmpo, as usual, to lead the way. The 27-year-old finished with a game-high 40 points on Wednesday, adding 11 rebounds for the double-double.
Even Jrue Holiday showed up and proved that he could do it all. Although his 24 points on 9-of-24 shooting weren’t the most efficient, he still added eight assists, eight rebounds, two blocks and a steal for a well-rounded performance.
Everyone has also been talking about Bobby Portis’ game-winning layup, but the veteran center also had a 14-point, 15-rebound double-double. His shooting could’ve been better (4-of-14), but the important thing is that he proved that his team could rely on him when the going got tough.
The Bucks clearly have the Celtics where they want them and need to use the hometown crowd’s energy to push them to a victory. Milwaukee is 10-4 in its last 14 games at Fiserv Forum, so things are looking promising regarding their chances of a victory tonight.
Celtics vs. Bucks Game 6 Prediction and Best Bets
Prediction: Bucks 118, Celtics 115
Best Bets: Bucks -1.5 (-110 at Bovada Sportsbook) and Over 210.5 (-110 at BetOnline Sportsbook)
Momentum is on the Bucks’ side and I expect them to get the job at home, where they’ve been rock-solid lately. The Celtics will make it a close game, but it’s the Bucks who have the experience to close things out.
I’m also expecting them to surpass the 210.5 combined points. The total has hit the over in 10 of the last 14 Celtics vs. Bucks matchups and tonight should be no different.
Best Prop Pick for Celtics vs. Bucks Game 6
- Giannis Antetokounmpo Over 33.5 Points (-116 at BetOnline Sportsbook)
The total on this prop may seem like a lot for some, but not Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The ‘Greek Freak’ has scored at least 34 points in each of his last three games this postseason. Furthermore, he’s averaged 35.5 PPG in his last four games at home.
The Bucks need their best player to finish off the series, so expect Antetokounmpo to have another memorable performance.
