The Clippers begin their road trip as they look to avoid a third straight loss after falling 133-116 to the Indiana Pacers on Monday. On the flip side, the 76ers return home after going 1-3 on their road trip, most recently losing 108-96 to the Sacramento Kings to begin the week.

Clippers vs 76ers Prediction & NBA Picks Today (3/27): Will LAC Exact Revenge?

You don’t have to travel too far back to see when these teams last faced off. The Clippers and 76ers went head-to-head at crypto.com Arena on Sunday night, resulting in Philadelphia exiting with the 121-107 victory as James Harden failed to get revenge against his old team.

The Clippers were 8.5-point favorites heading into that matchup, so it’s easy to see why that loss was embarrassing. It didn’t help that Tyron Lue’s team only scored 107 points while shooting 48.2% from the floor and 35.7% from deep.

The scenery has changed this time, though, with the 76ers taking on the role of the home team. Although Philadelphia has won two straight home games, Wells Fargo Center hasn’t provided the franchise with much of a boost lately as the Sixers are 4-9 SU across their 13 previous home contests.

As for the Clippers, playing away from crypto.com Arena hasn’t been an issue. In fact, it’s recently been a benefit. LA is an impressive 11-3 SU in its last 14 road games, outscoring those opponents by an average of 4.1 points per game.

The Clippers have been thriving as the visitors recently, winning 11 of their last 14 road games. 

The 76ers were able to shut the Clippers down on the perimeter over the weekend, but don’t count on lightning striking twice. Not only do the Clippers average the seventh-most threes made on the road, but their 39.6% three-point percentage in away games is No. 1 in the NBA.

Meanwhile, the Sixers average the seventh-fewest threes made on the 10th-worst success rate at home this season.

The 76ers’ injury situation also won’t make things easy. Joel Embiid (knee), Robert Covington (knee), and De’Anthony Melton (back) have all been ruled out while Kelly Oubre Jr. (shoulder) will be a game-time decision.

The bad news for the home team is that the Clippers are sporting a clean bill of health heading into tonight’s game after Russell Westbrook tallied 14 points, seven assists, and four rebounds in his return on Monday.

After getting embarrassed by the 76ers over the week, look for the Clippers to win tonight. Philadelphia has been tough to watch without Embiid and has struggled to win at home. Keeping pace with a healthy Clippers team won’t be easy for the shorthanded Sixers, so expect the visitors to exact some revenge.

Neither side has consistently covered the spread lately, hence why I’m going with the Over on the 217-point total instead. After all, the last four Clippers-76ers games averaged a combined 227.5 points per contest with at least 219 points being scored in each meeting — including 228 just three nights ago.

With the Over also being 5-2 in the Clippers’ last seven encounters with an Atlantic team, it’s best to take the points tonight.

Best Clippers vs 76ers NBA Prop Bet (3/27)

Normally I enjoy taking the Over on player props, but I can’t help but go with the Under on Tobias Harris’ 17.5-point total.

Although Harris has stepped up times during Embiid’s absence, he struggles to maintain consistency. The former 2011 first-rounder has finished with the Under in six of his last eight games, averaging 13.6 PPG on putrid .395/.194/.722 shooting splits along the way. Yes, he scored 24 points on 57.9% shooting against the Clippers over the week, but that was the only time he shot at least 50% from the field in his last eight outings.

With how volatile he can be, it’s best to take the Under on this Harris-based prop.
