The Sacramento Kings (30-22) attempt to shake off the recent negative vibes when they visit the Phoenix Suns (31-22) in one of six NBA games scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 13.
Nobody new on the Suns’ injury report for tomorrow’s game against the Kings aside from Damion Lee, who remains out
— Gerald Bourguet (@GeraldBourguet) February 13, 2024
The Kings attempt to return to the win column after falling 127-113 to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Suns return home after suffering a hard-fought 113-112 loss to the Golden State Warriors over the weekend.
When it comes to winning the 2023-24 NBA Championship, Phoenix currently holds the fifth-best odds (+1400) while Sacramento is much further back at 15th (+6000), per Bovada’s futures markets.
There are plenty of exciting betting opportunities to explore tonight, so let’s kick things off with my Kings vs. Suns predictions and best bets.

Kings vs Suns Prediction & NBA Pick Today (2/13): Can Sacramento Clinch Season Series?
Tonight’s contest is the fourth of the 2023-24 season between these Pacific Division rivals. The Kings emerged victorious in the first two meetings back in December before the Suns squeaked out a 119-117 win at Footprint Center last month.
Having said that, Sacramento has gotten the last laugh more often than not in recent years, going 4-1 SU in its last five encounters with the Suns and also covering the spread in seven of its last eight trips to Phoenix.
If the Kings want to keep growing this momentum, they must play better defense. Sacramento’s last four opponents averaged 125.5 PPG on .537/.492/.798 shooting splits with three of those foes scoring at least 127 points.
The Suns currently own the league’s 12th-best offense at 117.4 PPG, however, that number has jumped up to 125.2 PPG over the last six games — second-best in the NBA during that stretch. It’s also worth noting that they averaged 12.0 threes made on 39.8% shooting in those contests, further highlighting the Kings’ need for better defense.
The Suns’ offense has been rolling over the last two weeks.
The Kings must also find a way to play better on the road after losing three of their last five away games. It doesn’t help that they’re also 5-8 SU as the underdog on the road this season, whereas the Suns are 15-8 SU as the home favorite.
Speaking of which, Phoenix has won five straight home games heading into tonight’s contest, outscoring those opponents by an average of 6.6 points. Having said that, the Suns only covered the spread in three of those contests, bringing them to an abysmal 9-17-1 ATS at Footprint Center this season.
As far as injuries go, Damion Lee (knee) is the only player on the Suns’ list, but he isn’t expected to return for a while. Regarding the Kings, Sasha Vezenkov (ankle) will likely be sidelined for the next several weeks while Chris Duarte (ankle) will be a game-time decision in Phoenix.
The Kings have been inconsistent on the road lately. Will that come to bite them against a Suns team that’s red-hot at home?
I’m taking the Suns to win because they’re the better team this season and on paper. They’ve also been fantastic at home lately, whereas the Kings have left much to be desired on the road. I also can’t bring myself to trust Sacramento with how disastrous its recent defensive performances have been.
At the same time, I will take the Kings to cover the spread. I like the Suns, but they’ve only covered the spread in 34.6% of their home games — third-worst in the NBA — and only beat the Kings by two points in last month’s meeting.
Phoenix is also just 1-7 ATS in its last eight home games against Sacramento, making it harder to believe that they can win by six or more tonight. Expect the Suns to win, just not by the margin that oddsmakers are projecting.

Best Kings vs Suns NBA Prop Bet (2/13)
Considering how poorly the Kings are playing on the perimeter, the Over on Bradley Beal’s 1.5-three-point total is the best Kings vs. Suns player prop tonight.

Beal has had his ups and downs on the outside this season, averaging 1.7 threes made on 35.3% shooting. Although that isn’t the most efficient performance, things have improved recently. Over his last six games, the veteran sharpshooter is putting up 2.3 3PM with a 38.9% success rate, finishing with the Over four times.
I just don’t see Beal coming up short tonight. Again, the Kings’ last four opponents shot nearly 50% from the three-point line. Additionally, Sacramento allows the ninth-most threes to small forwards.
As long as his teammates continue to put the ball in his hands, Beal is in a great spot to finish with the Over yet again.
