The New York Knicks have the opportunity to advance to the next round of the NBA postseason when they face the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 6 on Thursday, May 2.

Despite facing elimination in Game 5, the 76ers managed to fight their way to a 112-106 overtime win against the Knicks. Tyrese Maxey led the charge with a game-high 46 points on 56.7% shooting as Philadelphia cut New York’s series lead down to 3-2.
Can Philadelphia stay alive in front of its home crowd tonight? Or will New York prove that it has what it takes to advance?

Knicks vs 76ers Game 6 Predictions & NBA Picks Today (5/2)
It’s do-or-die for the 76ers, who must win again tonight to keep their playoff run alive. Nick Nurse’s team has the opportunity to force a Game 7 with a win at Wells Fargo Center, where Philadelphia most recently fell 97-92 in Game 4.
That loss appears to be a minor hiccup, though, given that the 76ers have won six of their last seven home games. In fact, they also boast an impressive 12-5 SU record in their last 17 meetings with the Knicks in the City of Brotherly Love.
At the same time, five of New York’s last six wins at Wells Fargo Center came within its last eight trips to Philly. The Knicks are now 3-1 SU across their last four road games against the 76ers, outscoring the latter by an average of 11.0 points per game.
Nevertheless, the Knicks need more than just Jalen Brunson to show up to continue that trend. After all, New York’s injury situation worsened now that Bojan Bogdanovic (foot) has undergone season-ending surgery, joining Julius Randle on the sidelines.
The Knicks will likely continue to rely on Jalen Brunson as the likes of Bojan Bogdanovic and Julius Randle remain injured.
Meanwhile, Joel Embiid (knee) is expected to be a game-time decision tonight. While the reigning NBA MVP has managed to play in all five games thus far, he’s been hobbling up and down the court while his underwhelming .435/.324/.831 shooting splits further highlight how his condition affects him.
With that in mind, it’s hard to imagine Embiid sitting out of an elimination game, regardless of how much pain he’s in.
The good news is that even if Embiid isn’t 100%, the Sixers can still turn to Maxey. The budding superstar has been electric in this series, averaging 32.4 points, 7.2 assists, and 5.6 rebounds while shooting 50.0% from the floor and 42.9% from deep.
Tobias Harris also had a solid Game 5 performance, scoring 19 points while adding eight rebounds. He’ll need an encore performance to help Philadelphia stay alive — especially if Embiid struggles to produce at any point.
Will Joel Embiid’s injury situation impact the 76ers’ ability to stay alive tonight?
While the Knicks have proven that they can win in Philly, let’s back the 76ers to force a Game 7. The 76ers played well in Game 5 and have been successful more often than not at home throughout the last few weeks. After Knicks fans invaded Philadelphia for Game 4, look for a stronger Sixers fan presence to boost their team to another victory this evening.
But regardless of who wins, the Over on the 200-point total is the correct pick. After all, the Knicks and 76ers have averaged a combined 213.2 points per game to begin this series, finishing with more than 200 in all but one of those encounters.
With the Over also being 9-2 in New York’s last 11 road games and 7-3 in Philadelphia’s 10 previous outings overall, it’s safe to expect more offense than what’s projected.

Best Knicks vs 76ers NBA Game 6 Prop Bet (5/2)
When it comes to a Knicks vs. 76ers Game 6 prop bet, you can’t go wrong with the Over on Nicolas Batum’s 4.5-rebound total (-129).
[su_icon icon="icon: check-circle" background="#F4F7FC" color="#2FBB9C" text_color="#1F2933" size="16" shape_size="4" radius="256" text_size="14" url="" margin="0"] $10 Cash Bonus with code "BNEWS" [/su_icon]

While most of the attention in this series has been on the superstar players, Batum’s rebounding performance has flown under the radar. Despite coming off the bench, the veteran forward is averaging 6.5 rebounds across his last four outings, finishing with the Over each time. In fact, the Over is 5-1 in his last six games dating back to the regular season.
Having also finished with five-plus rebounds in each of his last four home games, I feel confident about this Batum-centric prop tonight.
