The Denver Nuggets roll into Portland to take on the Trail Blazers in a matchup of two Western Conference foes.

The Nuggets are coming off of a close loss to the Mavericks on Tuesday by 1 point and have lost their last 3 games.

C Nicola Jokić hasn’t been quite in MVP form this season, but still is almost averaging a Triple double with 23 points, 10 rebound and 9 assists per game.

He however struggles against the Blazers from a scoring perspective and only scored 9 points in his last outing against the Blazers.

On the other side, the Blazers have been up and down to start the season but seem to have a budding star in Anfrenee Simons.

Simons has been awesome, averaging 25 points, and almost 5 assists per game to start the season.

Superstar Damien Lilliard has been in and out of the lineup, which has led to Simons taking on more of a scoring role but even with Dame in the lineup, Simons is soaring.

Prediction

The Trail Blazers got the better of this matchup earlier this season, and I think they get the win here tonight as well.

Jokic notoriously struggles against the Blazers and while I think he should be better tonight than he was last matchup, I think the Blazers are going to score too much for the Nuggets to keep up.
