The Pelicans are coming off Sunday’s massive 133-100 victory over the Sacramento Kings, improving their record to 5-1 SU over the last six games. On the other side, the Warriors lost for the fifth time in their last seven outings with a 133-118 defeat at the hands of the Toronto Raptors over the weekend.
When it comes to BetOnline’s 2023-24 NBA Finals odds, Golden State sits at +3300 odds (T-10th) to hoist the Larry O’Brien Trophy in the spring while New Orleans is available at +5000 (T-15th).
The NBA Finals aren’t for a few more months, though, so let’s focus on tonight’s action with my Pelicans vs Warriors predictions and best bets.

Pelicans vs Warriors Prediction & Pick (1/10)
The 2023-24 season has been a rollercoaster for the Warriors. Things looked like they were heading in the right direction with a five-game winning streak in the middle of December, but that momentum practically disappeared with five losses in the subsequent seven games.
Inconsistent defensive play has been a key factor behind Golden State’s latest struggles. Over the last seven games, the Warriors have allowed their opponents to average 121.9 PPG while shooting the ball 51.0% from the floor and 37.3% from the three-point line. For reference, Steve Kerr’s team is averaging 116.7 PPG with a 47.5 FG% and 35.9 3P% during that span.
The Warriors need a strong defensive effort to slow down the Pelicans, who average the 12th-most points while being a top-10 team in both field-goal and three-point percentages.
Having said that, though, New Orleans’ offense was mostly absent in a 130-102 loss to Golden State back on Oct. 30.
Can the Warriors beat the Pelicans for the second time in as many meetings this season?
In fact, the Warriors have had the Pelicans’ number for some time now, winning 16 of the last 20 games between these teams. That’s without mentioning how Golden State is also 10-1 SU with a plus-10.6 average scoring margin in its last 11 home games against New Orleans, having not lost to the visiting team since Feb. 23, 2020.
But even with that success, the Warriors can’t underestimate the Pelicans, who’ve won six straight road games ahead of tonight’s tilt. Considering how Willie Green’s team averaged 128.8 PPG on .545/.467/.827 splits, New Orleans should feel more than comfortable at Chase Center.
Another thing that the Pelicans have going for them is their knack for rebounding, averaging 52.7 RPG (9th). While the Warriors are averaging 54.9 RPG this season (5th), that number has cratered to a 40.9 RPG clip over the last seven games — eighth-worst in the NBA during that time.
The Pelicans edge in the rebounding department could lead them to victory tonight.
Even though the Warriors tend to emerge victorious whenever these teams meet, I have the Pelicans picking up the road win tonight. New Orleans is on fire and is more than comfortable playing as the visitor, having not lost a road game since Dec. 7. I also think that the Pelicans’ superior rebounding will help them against the Warriors, who’ve struggled to hit their shots over the last few weeks.
Take New Orleans to cover the spread, too. The Pelicans cover the spread in 58.3% of their games this season (5th), whereas the Warriors only do so 47.2% of the time (T-18th). Furthermore, New Orleans is 5-1 ATS in its last six road games, which is more confidence-inspiring than Golden State’s 2-4 ATS record in its last six home outings.
With the way things are shaping up, it’s clear that the Pelicans are capable of winning this game by two or more points.

Best Pelicans vs Warriors NBA Prop Bet (1/10)
If you’re looking for an NBA prop bet tonight, consider taking Klay Thompson o18.5 points.
Although Thompson has struggled with consistency, he’s still averaging 19.4 points on .462/.424/.960 splits over his last 15 games. He went out and hit the Over on this prop in 10 of those outings — including one each of his last three games — and is coming off a 25-point effort against the Raptors.
Additionally, Thompson is averaging 26.0 PPG while hitting the over three times in his last four meetings with the Pelicans.
In other words, this prop has a great chance of hitting tonight.
