It feels so good to be back. Last night we opened the season with Banner Night at TD Garden, and we followed it up with a clash of Western Conference Titans at Crypto. Tonight we get our first full NBA Slate and with it comes a full slate of prop bets.
We’ve go so much to talk about, let’s jump right into these props.
Here are our 3 favorite prop bets on tonight’s NBA Slate!
Jalen Green o20.5 Points (-122) via BetOnline
I’ve already talked about Jalen Green extensively before the season, you can take a look at why I’ve got him winning this year’s Most Improved Player Award here; but today let’s talk about his point line.
Green’s entering his fourth year in the Assosciation, and he’s shown big improvements every year. Last year, the Rockets won 40+ games for the first time since the departure of James Harden.
The additions of Dhillon Brooks and Fred Vanvleet proved to be huge and once this team figured out the chemistry, they were rolling. Jalen Green averaged 19.6 points per game last year and we saw that number jump to 22.8 per game after the All-Star break.
Green’s shooting percentage jumped from 41% to 44% as well as his 3P percentage going from 30.7% to 36.8%; despite seeing a significant bump in usage.
He led the team in usage for the 2nd part of the season, with him and Alpren Sengun bearing most of the offensive burden. In his short 3-year career, Green’s played the Hornets 4 times, in those 4 games he’s averaging 31.5 points per game on 52.4% shooting.
Three of these matchups have come against Lamelo Ball, in the 3 against Ball he’s averaged 33.3 points 6.3 rebounds and 4.7 assists. Last year the Hornets ranked 22nd in points allowed and 27th in opponent field goal percentage.
They give up a lot of points and they did nothing to resolve that issue in the off-season. Green saw his minutes get a bump during the latter part of the season, seeing 34.7 minutes per game over his L28 games.
Lastly, Jalen Green just got PAID. Green became the first player in NBA history to successfully negotiate a 2-plus-1 rookie extension on a nine figure deal. We all know how guys play off a fresh new contract, so give me Jalen Green tonight.

Lonzo Ball 3+ Assists (+127) via BetOnline – Get a $500 WELCOME BONUS
This ones going to sound strange with all the questions surrounding his playing time, but 3 assists for Lonzo Ball seems like baby food. Lonzo played in just two of the team’s pre-season games and he played just 15 and 16 minutes each.
While I don’t expect Lonzo to see 25-30 minutes tonight, I do think Lonzo can get us 3 assists in the limited amount of minutes he does play. Lonzo’s playing in his first game since January 14, 2022 and there were points during his recovery we thought he wouldn’t be back.
Now here we are, it’s been more than 1000 days since he last played, and tonight his first game back comes against his former team; the New Orleans Pelicans. Lonzo was drafted by the Lakers, traded to the Pelicans then once again traded but this time to Chicago.
He’s played his former team just once since coming to Chicago, recording a 17-point triple double and the win. Now, I don’t think the Bulls upset in this one, but I love the value on Lonzo at (+120).

Jusuf Nurkic o10.5 Rebounds (+100) via BetOnline – Get a $500 WELCOME BONUS
It’s the first big slate of the season and I’m really here trying to convince you to bet Jusuf Nurkic with me, please don’t tell Chef. Just hear me out before you decide I’m insane.
The Phoenix Suns enter this season after performing well under expectations last year. The Suns went 49-33 last year, barely finished outside of the play-in and got swept in the 2nd round by Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves.
So what did Phoenix do? They fired their head coach, Frank Vogel, hired Mike Budenholzer and they brought in a real point guard; Tyus Jones.
Last year Nurkic averaged 11 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists per game; he did all of that in just 27.3 minutes per game. A lot of that had to do with lineups that Vogel was running and his propensity to go small.
No surprise, small ball combined with no true point guard; the experiment didn’t work and it got them swept in the 2nd round. This year they start the season against the Los Angeles Clippers, one of the worst offensive rebounding teams in the NBA.
Last year, the Clippers ranked 27th in offensive rebounds allowed and it was more of the same to start the pre-season, ranked last among all NBA teams.
This year the Clippers will be without both Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, their two top rebounders outside of Ivaca Zubac. Both George and Kawhi were also the Clippers top-2 scoring duo so that should mean for more missed shots and more rebounding opportunities.
Look for Nurkic to crash the glass tonight and make his value known to his new head coach.
