The Warriors are in the desert tonight, looking to do battle with the struggling Suns. Phoenix somehow remains alive in their hunt for the play-in tournament and they’ll NEED a win tonight to keep those dreams alive.

Warriors vs. Suns | Analysis

Newest Tandem on the Block
The Warriors have found new life since Jimmy Butler made his way to the Bay Area. The Dubs are 20-3 with both Steph and Jimmy in the lineup, averaging 119.7 PPG and allowing just 107.3 PPG. They’ve been great on both sides of the ball but Steph Curry’s seen the biggest boost in his numbers.
Curry’s averaging 27.4 PPG with Butler in the lineup and shooting 47% from the field and 41% from beyond the arc. He looks like he’s got new life out their on the court and coming off a loss an ugly loss against the Rockets, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Steph go nuclear tonight.
The Warriors are among 4-teams fighting to stay outside of the play-in tournament, all with the same record at 46-32. All 4 teams are in action tonight and all 4 favored to win their respective games. The race is getting tighter and with the Warriors coming off a loss, look for them to come out angry tonight.
They’re alive, somehow.
Somehow the Suns haven’t been eliminated from the play-in tournament, just yet. Phoenix currently sits 2.5 games back of the Mavericks with a game in hand. The Suns really can’t afford to lose any more games but that hasn’t stopped them.
The Suns have lost 6-straight games, 3 of those games have come since the Kevin Durant injury. If the Mavericks hadn’t been just as bad, Phoenix would be looking towards the off-season.
Our Best Bets in the Suns vs Warriors, April 8th
Stephen Curry o25.5 Points (-105 via BetOnline)

After the ugly game against the Rockets, it feels only right to tap in with Steph. Like I said, he’s averaging over 27 PPG and he’s doing it on shooting splits of 47/41/93. The Suns rank 22nd in points allowed this year and have been even worse from the perimeter.
Phoenix ranks among the bottom-5 in wide open 3-point attempts allowed and we all know what Steph does with open 3-point attempts. The Suns have yet to face this iteration of the Warriors and it might be why they’ve had some success containing Steph this year.
Curry’s failed to score even 23 points in any of the 3 matchups with the Suns this year, mainly due to the way he’s been hounded on defense. Now with Jimmy Butler in the lineup, the floor should open up just a little bit more for Steph.
Devin Booker o29.5 Points (+100 via BetOnline)

Booker’s taken 29 or mor shot attempts in 3 straight games. Their season is almost over and he’s going out swinging, I respect it. He’s scored 39, 37 and 40 points in these 3 games; all 3 coming against contenders in the Bucks, Celtics and Knicks.
Book now returns to Phoenix with just 4-games left in their season. The Warriors have been one of the toughest defenses in the league since trading for Jimmy Butler, but the volume’s simply too high for me to ignore.
