See Picks & Statistics For The GameThe 2022-23 NBA season rages on with a new slate of games for Wednesday, Nov. 16. The Western Conference will be on display at 10 p.m. ET when the Golden State Warriors travel to Footprint Center to take on the Phoenix Suns.
Despite their struggles to begin the season, the Warriors have won three of their last four games ahead of this matchup. They defeated the San Antonio Spurs, 132-95, in their most recent outing on Monday, led by Jordan Poole recording 36 points in 29 minutes of work.
Meanwhile, the Suns have been the opposite of the Warriors, losing three of their last four games. Phoenix is looking to bounce back after a close-fought 113-112 loss to the Miami Heat two nights ago, leaving time to tell if Monty Brown’s team can get back on track at home.
There’s a lot to take in before Wednesday’s Warriors vs Suns game. Fortunately, Betting News has gathered the game’s odds while also having a prediction and best bet for tonight’s contest.

Golden State Warriors vs Phoenix Suns Prediction and Picks
Warriors vs Suns Prediction: Warriors 112, Suns 102
Warriors vs Suns Picks: Warriors ML (Best Value: -108 at BetOnline) & Under 226.5 Points (Best Value: -110 at BetOnline)
This game marks the Pacific Division rivals’ second meeting so far this season. The two sides met back on Oct. 25, once again at Footprint Center, resulting in a 134-105 blowout victory for the Suns.
The Suns’ defense was in full effect during that victory, holding the Warriors’ shooters to a 28.6% success rate at the three-point line. It also helped that Golden State turned the ball over 16 times while committing 28 fouls.
Having said that, it can’t be ignored that the Suns have lost three times in their last four games. One of the big factors behind this slump is that Chris Paul has been injured. While his point totals aren’t what they were, he’s still averaging 9.4 assists per game, meaning Phoenix will be hurting for as long as its top playmaker is sidelined.
The Suns’ offense, in general, has disappeared over the last four games. They’re ranked third-worst in the NBA with a 106.5 PPG clip over that stretch, converting on just 45.3% of their field-goal attempts (eighth-worst).
In other words, the Warriors need to take advantage of their opponent’s slump. That might be easier said than done, though, as Golden State is winless in its first seven road games this season. Those shortcomings fall on the team’s league-worst road scoring defense, meaning a stronger effort is needed tonight.
The good news for the Warriors is that their play has looked better lately, even if it hasn’t come on the road. They’re firing at a 117.3 PPG rate over their last four games (No. 5), connecting on 41% of three-point attempts during that span (No. 7).
Unsurprisingly, Stephen Curry has been the straw that stirs the drink over Golden State’s latest bout with success. He’s averaging 32.5 PPG with .613/.487/.864 shooting splits, showing no signs of slowing down.
Meanwhile, Poole is coming off the aforementioned 36-point effort from Monday night. If the 23-year-old can keep that level of success up, the Suns’ Paul-less backcourt could be in trouble. As great as Devin Booker is on his own, it’s going to be tough for him to match Curry and Poole if they’re firing on all cylinders.
Even though the Suns are 6-1 at home this season, they’re underperforming and vulnerable to a loss. The Warriors have more momentum here and they can’t stay winless on the road forever, leading to my backing them as the victors tonight.
With the odds being a pick ‘em situation, take the Warriors outright at -108 on the moneyline. I’m also going with the under on the total as it’s what the two sides have finished with in 11 of their last 14 meetings. Furthermore, the Suns have the best scoring defense this season while the Warriors have given up the eighth-fewest points over their last four games.
