See Picks & Statistics For The GameThe Golden State Warriors have a chance to punch their ticket to the 2021-22 NBA Finals on Tuesday, May 24 when they meet the Dallas Mavericks for Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals.
Although the Mavericks kept it close at times in Game 3, the Warriors managed to find enough separation to walk away with the 109-100 victory to take the 3-0 series lead. They haven’t been to tie NBA Finals since the 2018-19 season and are likely hungry enough to do anything to get back there.
Meanwhile, this is a make-or-break matchup for the Mavericks. Playing against the Warriors has really brought them down to earth, but Luka Doncic and co. must find a way to take their game to the next level or else their offseason begins Wednesday morning.
Can the Warriors complete the sweep and move on? Or will the Mavericks dig deep enough to force a return to the Chase Center?

Warriors Have Sights Set on NBA Finals
Making it this far in the NBA Playoffs isn’t anything new for the Warriors. After all, they went to five straight championship series from 2014 to 2019, winning a trio of them.
After two years of their stars nursing their injuries, the Warriors are back. If they’re to advance to the NBA Finals tonight, then Stephen Curry must continue his solid play.
The Golden State superstar had a team-high 31 points on .500/.500/1.000 splits in Game 3, giving him 30-plus points for the seventh time this postseason. The Mavericks have had issues slowing Curry down, so expect the Warriors to continue giving him the ball.
Another player that had a seriously impressive performance last game was Andrew Wiggins. The 2021-22 NBA All-Star finished with 27 points with a .550 field-goal percentage, adding 11 assists for his third double-double in the last five games.
Even Kevon Looney continued his breakout performance this series by doing a little bit of everything, registering nine points, 12 rebounds and four assists.
Additionally, the Warriors need Klay Thompson to have a better shooting performance. Although he had 19 points on Sunday, he only shot .333 from the field and .300 from the three-point line.
Nevertheless, the Warriors have all the tools to eliminate the Mavericks on Tuesday. If their star players continue stepping up and the defense stays strong, a shot at the Larry O’Brien Trophy could be near.
Mavs’ Supporting Cast Must Step Up
The Mavericks might be down 0-3 heading into Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals, but one thing that can’t be questioned is Luka Doncic’s determination.
The Slovenian star has done everything he can to keep Dallas in this series, averaging 34.0 points, 7.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists while shooting .453/.414/.800. He’s had 40-plus points in back-to-back games but doesn’t have a win to show for it.
Jalen Brunson has also done a respectable job with his 21.7 PTS/5.3 REB/4.0 AST and even Spencer Dinwiddie has 15.7 PPG on his own, but things are somewhat grim beyond that.
Reggie Bullock is averaging just 11.0 PPG despite playing over 40 minutes per contest. It certainly doesn’t help that he’s shooting .303 from the field, either. Meanwhile, every other Mavericks player apart from the above four is averaging 9.0 PPG or worse.
Simply put, the Mavericks can’t keep up with the Warriors when they’re averaging 101.3 PPG. Golden State’s offense is just too good and the roster is too deep for that average to be sufficient.
Mavericks management is clearly to blame for the lack of depth, but some players still need to step up because Doncic and Brunson can’t do everything on their own. Otherwise, if things don’t change, tonight could be the end of Dallas’ playoff run.
Warriors vs. Mavericks Game 5 Prediction and Best Bets
Prediction: Warriors 120, Mavericks 107
Best Bets: Warriors Moneyline (-104 at BetOnline Sportsbook) and Over 215.5 (-110 at BetUS)
As much as the Mavericks hope to extend this series, my gut is telling me that the Warriors are going to walk away victorious. Their depth and past playoff experience are just too much for the Mavs to handle.
As for the best bet, I’m taking the Warriors outright at -104 odds on BetOnline Sportsbook. If they’re going to win, the moneyline gives Golden State bettors the best value.
Best Prop Pick for Warriors vs. Mavericks Game 4
- Luka Doncic Over 34.5 Points (-114 at BetOnline Sportsbook)
The Warriors might win this game, but that doesn’t mean that Doncic won’t put on a show.
The 23-year-old superstar is averaging 41.0 points on .500/.474/.844 shooting over the last two games and hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down.
Doncic is going to give his all to try and deliver at least one victory to the Mavericks, which should lead to another high-scoring performance.
