With only two matchups featuring top-25 teams in Week 12, the ACC clash between No. 23 Clemson and No. 18 Pitt stands out. Both teams are coming off contrasting performances in Week 11, with Clemson grabbing a road win over Virginia Tech while Pitt stumbled against Virginia at home. This sets up a crucial opportunity for the Panthers to bounce back on their home turf against a conference rival that hasn’t been tested much this season.

#23 Clemson vs #18 Pitt Predictions
With only two games featuring top-25 matchups in Week 12, let’s turn to the ACC showdown between No. 23 Clemson and No. 18 Pitt. These two teams are coming off very different results in Week 11—Clemson notched a 24-14 road win over Virginia Tech, forcing three turnovers that led to multiple scores, while Pitt stumbled to a 24-19 home loss to Virginia as seven-point favorites.
The Panthers have struggled lately, especially since their big win over Syracuse where Kyle McCord turned the ball over five times. Since then, Pitt has been outscored by a combined 28 points in their last two games. This matchup against Clemson feels like the perfect opportunity to back the Panthers. The spread seems too high for a home team facing a conference rival, especially considering Clemson’s light schedule this season. You’d have to go all the way back to Week 1, when they got trounced by Georgia, to find a ranked opponent they’ve played. Since then, they’ve faced no other top-25 teams until now.
Pitt at home remains a force, allowing under 25 points and 325 yards per game. This isn’t the Clemson team of old—they’re not as intimidating as they once were. Ten points is too much for the Tigers; I’m taking the Panthers.
Prediction: Clemson Wins
