We’ve already arrived at Week 4 of the 2022 NCAA college football season. One of the upcoming matchups that a lot of fans are looking forward to is an SEC showdown between the No. 10 Arkansas Razorbacks and the No. 23 Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday, Sept. 24.
Arkansas continued its perfect start to the campaign, defeating Missouri State 38-27 last week. The Razorbacks offense was operating like a well-oiled machine as running back Raheim Sanders turned 22 carries into 167 rushing yards and a touchdown while quarterback KJ Jefferson threw for 385 yards and two TDs on 19 completions.
Following a disappointing loss to Appalachian State, Texas A&M rebounded in Week 3 with a 17-9 victory over the Miami Hurricanes. The Aggies defense was a key factor in the win, so it’ll be interesting to see if the offense picks up the slack on Saturday.
Here are BetMGM’s latest Razorbacks vs Aggies betting odds, as well as a prediction and best bet for the upcoming NCAAF tilt.

Arkansas vs Texas A&M Prediction and Picks
Arkansas vs Texas A&M Prediction: Arkansas 30, Texas A&M 24
Arkansas vs Texas A&M: Arkansas ML (Best Value: +110 at BetMGM) & Over 49 Points (Best Value: -110 at BetMGM)
Arkansas and Texas A&M have collided 77 times since 1910 with 42 victories going to the Razorbacks. Having said that, recent history has favored the Aggies, who are 9-1 straight up over the last 10 games against their SEC rivals.
In fact, Texas A&M had won nine consecutive matchups until the most recent meeting last fall, which ended in a 20-10 win for Arkansas. While the Razorbacks are the underdogs yet again, I do like them pulling off an upset win here.
This game is going to be far from pretty. Arkansas’ defense has been terrible this season, surrendering 427.0 total yards (No. 88) and 27.0 points (No. 62) per game.
While that might be a juicy matchup for a lot of teams, that isn’t the case for Texas A&M. The Aggies offense has been uninspiring, to say the least, tallying just 15.5 PPG (T-No. 112) with 225.5 offensive yards (T-No. 125) per game.
At the end of the day, I don’t think that Texas A&M will keep pace with Arkansas’ offense. Yes, the Aggies defense has been extremely solid this season, but I don’t know if they’re ready for Razorbacks quarterback KJ Jefferson and his talented crop of receivers.
There are just too many questions about Texas A&M’s offense to have much faith in them in this SEC rivalry game. Defense wins games, but you also have to score the ball to achieve victory.
Nevertheless, I do expect this to be a close-fought game decided by one possession. The most playable option for an Arkansas victory is to take the Razorbacks as +110 underdogs on the moneyline.
I’m also taking the over on the 49-point total. After all, the last 10 Arkansas-Texas A&M matchups have seen an average total 62.2 points. Given that they’ve also combined for at least 49 points in three of four games played at AT&T Stadium, I’m confident that the Razorbacks and Aggies will hit the over again.
