The calendar has flipped to November, and that means that a month full of important college football games is ahead. Week 10 of the season began on Tuesday, but the biggest matchups of the week are on Saturday.
This week, there are five games between ranked teams, but there are several contests that bear watching–and betting on–beyond that quintet.
For most, three games stand out above the rest, two in the SEC and one in the Pac-12, which continues to ride high as its current iteration heads into the sunset.

In the Pac-12, #20 USC and Caleb Williams, last year’s Heisman Trophy winner, will meet #5 Washington and Michael Penix Jr., the current favorite to win the Heisman this year.
Here are ten of the most important games on Saturday’s college football slate:

Unless the NCAA makes the right choice, the Dukes (8-0, 5-0 Sun Belt) may not be able to play in a bowl game due to being in the final year of their FCS-to-FBS transition.
But they can still play for and win the Sun Belt title, and they will have a foot and a half in the conference championship game with a win at Georgia State (6-2, 3-2 Sun Belt), even if Georgia Southern (6-2, 3-1 Sun Belt) wins at Texas State (5-3, 2-2 Sun Belt).
Last weekend, JMU had to hold on to beat Old Dominion 30-27 at home last weekend. But don’t let that result put you off of backing the Dukes to down the Panthers.
Georgia State has had a very good season thus far, and QB Darren Grainger has the mobility to neutralize Jalen Green and the sack-happy Dukes. However, they were outclassed in their toughest conference contests against Troy (a 28-7 home loss) and Georgia Southern (a 44-27 road loss).
James Madison, who has road wins over Virginia, Utah State, Troy, and Marshall, and they will add another one to the list Saturday. Quarterback Jordan McCloud is one of the nation’s most efficient quarterbacks, and he should have a field day against one of the poorer pass defenses in college football.
James Madison vs Georgia State Prediction: James Madison to win
James Madison vs Georgia State Best Bets: James Madison -6 (-105 at Bovada) & James Madison team total over 30.5 (+105 at Bovada)

Other College Football Week 10 Predictions & Best Bets
Ole Miss -3 vs Texas A&M: The Aggies played both Alabama and Tennessee tough and should have won one of those games. But under Jimbo Fisher, A&M is 7-15 SU in true road games, and only two of those losses have been by three or fewer points.
Northwestern +5 vs Iowa: The Wildcats have won both of their home games in conference play, and while the Hawkeyes are a step up from Minnesota and Maryland, I like Northwestern’s chances to at least keep this one close, especially with Iowa’s turgid, unwatchable offense in mind.
