See Picks & Statistics For The GameComing off a huge win over Alabama, Tennessee’s fans stormed the field in celebration two weeks ago. But in Week 10, we’re fading the Volunteers as they head into their matchup with Kentucky. With a steadily rising line in favor of Tennessee, it’s the perfect spot to back the Wildcats to keep things closer than expected.

Kentucky vs Tennessee Predictions
Back with another system play for Saturday—this week we’re fading the Tennessee Volunteers after they stormed the field following their 24-17 win over Alabama two weeks ago. Coming off a bye, the play here is backing the Kentucky Wildcats.
The line opened at Tennessee -14.5, but has since risen, fluctuating between -16 and -16.5. If you can get it at +17 for Kentucky, that’s ideal, but I’d suggest waiting unless you’re confident.
Kentucky’s on a three-game skid, with losses to Vanderbilt (13-20), Florida (20-48), and Auburn (10-24). They haven’t covered a spread since their win over Ole Miss on September 28. Despite recent struggles, Kentucky is more battle-tested than Tennessee, having played Georgia, Ole Miss, and a Vanderbilt team that’s looking legitimate. Tennessee’s schedule, meanwhile, includes Alabama, Oklahoma, and NC State, but outside of Alabama, those wins aren’t as impressive.
Kentucky’s defense has the tools to slow down Tennessee’s high-powered offense. Ranked 21st in points allowed per game and 17th in passing yards allowed, they should be able to contain the Volunteers, who are averaging 34 points per game. If Kentucky’s defense can hold, they’re primed to cover the +16.5 spread.
