The Michigan Wolverines had their best season under Jim Harbaugh, winning the Big Ten Championship, beating Ohio State for the first time in 10 years, and making the College Football Playoff.
Michigan will begin 2022 as the #8 team in the country. They have high hopes for this season, after they were dismantled in the Playoff by the eventual champion, Georgia Bulldogs.
The Wolverines have an easier schedule than most of their Big Ten rivals. They begin the season with 4 straight home games against Colorado State, Hawaii, Connecticut, and Maryland.
2022-23 Michigan Wolverines Football Schedule
- September 3: Colorado State
- September 10: Hawaii
- September 17: UCONN
- September 24: Maryland
- October 1: @ Iowa
- October 8: @ Indiana
- October 15: Penn State
- October 29: #15 Michigan State
- November 5: @ Rutgers
- November 12: Nebraska
- November 19: Illinois
- November 26: @ #2 Ohio State
The Wolverines are not much of a contender yet for the National Championship. However, they are towards the top of the Big Ten Conference.

Different Ways to Get Value Out of Betting Michigan
Due to the fact that Michigan is not in the Top 5 best odds to win the National Championship, there could be value in putting an outright bet on them. However, if you want a less risky bet, focus on some of the side bets that BetOnline Sportsbook has to offer.
You can bet whether Ohio State will win 10+ games, and you can also bet the total win line that currently sits at Over/Under 9.5.
2022-23 NCAA Football Odds to Win 10+ Games
Odds are via BetOnline.
- Alabama -3500
- Ohio State -2000
- Georgia -2000
- Clemson -600
- Michigan -135
2022-23 Michigan Wolverines Football Total Regular Season Win Line
Odds are via BetOnline.
- Over 9.5: -145
- Under 9.5: +125
I believe the Over has great value, as even if Michigan drops two games, you get paid. They have a very easy start to the season, and they only play two preseason AP Top 25 teams during the regular season.
Another option for bettors is to bet Michigan to make the College Football Playoff. Due to the fact that there are a lot of good teams in the field, it is a riskier bet, but offers much better payout if it hits.
2022-23 NCAA Football Odds to Make College Football Playoff
Odds are via BetOnline.
- Alabama -350
- Ohio State -280
- Georgia -160
- Clemson +125
- USC +340
- Oklahoma +450
- Utah +600
- Michigan +600
2022-23 Michigan Football Predictions
The Wolverines had their best season in years during the 2021 campaign. They are hoping for a repeat of that success when the 2022 season gets underway. They have tough competition this year, as Ohio State sits in the same division.
Going undefeated will be a huge challenge for the Wolverines. They face Michigan State at home and Ohio State on the road. Both of those games will take a lot out of the team, and unless something changes during the season, I see them dropping at least one.
I don’t have Michigan in the playoff again this year. Only one Big Ten team is expected to make the playoff, and I have to give that spot to Ohio State. After missing out last season, the Buckeyes will be ready to take their anger out on the team from up north.
Focus on your side bets for Michigan. They are too risky to bet for a National Championship, and the Big Ten Conference is set to be competitive.
