See Picks & Statistics For The GameThe Indiana Hoosiers football team just can’t stop winning. They are 8-0, find themselves ranked in the Top 10, and host the Michigan Wolverines this Saturday in Bloomington to try and stay perfect. Some thought their perfect season might come to an end last week in East Lansing, but the Hoosiers rolled over the Spartans on their way to a 47-10 victory. Now they host the other state school in an attempt to improve to 9-0.
Indiana beat Michigan back in 2020 at home led by Michael Penix Jr, but since then, the losses have been brutal. The past 3 years, Michigan has outscored the Hoosiers 112-24, beating them by 21+ each time. Things could be different this time around, as the Hoosiers are two touchdown favorites. They are also 8-1 against the spread this season, covering 8 straight games. Will they do so again against a tough Wolverines defense?
Michigan are 5-4 this season, but are just 1-3 in their last 4 games. This will be just the 3rd away game for the Wolverines this season, and the other two have not gone well, losing to Washington and Illinois. Coming off a loss to Oregon, I don’t see things improving much for them as long as Davis Warren is leading the offense. But can he prove me wrong this weekend against the Hoosiers?

Will Michigan Offense Find Life?
We knew this Michigan offense wasn’t going to be as good as the Championship team last year, but did we think they would be this bad? Personally, I figured they wouldn’t be ranked by the end of the season, and that seems to be reigning true considering the desperate attempt to figure out a QB late in the season. Davis Warren started, then they went to Alex Orji, and now they are back to Warren. Neither can throw the ball, and it will certainly take scoring in bunches to keep up with the Hoosiers.
Indiana ranks 3rd in the country in scoring offense, putting up over 43 points per contest at home. Michigan is outside of the Top 100, putting up just 21 on offense, with that number dropping to 12 on the road. Defensively, the Hoosiers are just as good, holding teams to 15 points per game, ranking 7th in the nation. The Wolverines ranked 45th, allowing nearly 24 to their opponents. I don’t see them being able to slow down Kurtis Rourke and company, and honestly, I think this could get ugly.
I am done doubting the Hoosiers.
This is clearly a Top 10 team on both sides of the ball. Sure, we can bring up their strength of schedule, but I’m not worried about Michigan at all. This season, Indiana is clearly the better team. They’ve got a bye week before the Buckeyes, so the shouldn’t be looking ahead. Ultimately, they need this win big time and I see it happening for the Boys in Bloomington.

Michigan vs Indiana Prediction: Indiana Wins & Covers, Over 49
Best Bets: Indiana -14.5 (-105) Bovada
The Hoosiers are tough to stop, and I don’t think it’s going to happen this weekend. They are rolling over their opponents, straight up and against the spread. Plus who wants to fade one of the highest scoring offenses in College Football?
The Hoosiers haven’t scored less than 31 points in a game, and haven’t allowed more than 28. In fact, they haven’t allowed more than 20+ in 6/8 games, and I certainly don’t see Michigan being able to move the ball enough to score 20. I fully expect this game to be another showing of total Hoosier domination.
A wise man told me this team isn’t going to slow down, and is going on their own little “Big Ten Revenge Tour”. I couldn’t agree more.
Bloomington is going to be rocking when big, bad Michigan comes to town, and Indiana is excited to send them away with a HUGE loss this Saturday.
