The Ohio State Buckeyes always seem to be towards the top of the preseason AP Poll. They begin 2022 as the #2 team in the country, only trailing Alabama. This is for good reason, as they return most of they big stars from last year, including quarterback CJ Stroud.
Ohio State was in a position to make the College Football Playoff last season, but they dropped their first game to Michigan in 10 years and missed the Big Ten Championship Game. This ended their hopes at a championship in 2021, but they are out for revenge this season.
The Buckeyes have a tough schedule this year, facing 4 AP Preseason Top 25 teams. However, they do get Notre Dame and Michigan at home, so that should help them out a bit. They have 8 games at home and only go on the road 4 times this season.

Ohio State is a favorite for the National Championship this season. They only trail Alabama in the odds for the overall title. They also have the top spot in Big Ten betting, as the conference will be trying to chase them down.

Different Ways to Get Value Out of Betting Ohio State
The Buckeyes may not have the best value in conference betting, as they are heavy favorites in the Big Ten. They are expected to have 10+ wins this season, so this opens the door for side bets that are available at BetOnline Sportsbook.
You can bet whether Ohio State will win 10+ games, and you can also bet the total win line that currently sits at Over/Under 11.

- Under 11: +110
Due to the tougher schedule that Ohio State has been offered, the regular season win line has value in either direction. They are certainly contenders for the Playoff, so be careful betting that they will lose more than 1 game. It is possible, but not likely.
Another option for bettors is to bet Ohio State to make the College Football Playoff. Due to the fact that there are a lot of good teams in the field, it is a riskier bet, but offers much better payout if it hits.

2022-23 Ohio State Football Predictions
The Buckeyes had a disappointing end to the 2021 season. With their first loss to Michigan in 10 years, they missed out on all the hardware. They should have an easier time in the conference this season, as their team is more experienced.
I don’t see an undefeated season from the Buckeyes, but 11-1 is a good bet. I have them winning the Big Ten East and making it back to the Championship game in the conference.
I also have Ohio State as one of the Top 4 teams in the country, so they should be playing for the Championship at the end of the year. I do believe that Alabama is the best team, however, so I don’t expect another title for the Buckeyes.
Ohio State has good value for side bets, and there is money to be made. Just be careful betting them to win it all, as they have a tougher schedule than the Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs. They will wear themselves out making it through the Big Ten.
