NFL Week 8 TNF Betting: 3 Best Vikings vs Rams Touchdown Bets

1. Justin Jefferson Anytime Touchdown — -125 on BetOnline

Justin Jefferson is in the middle of another stellar season and will look to keep things going against the Rams tonight.

The three-time Pro Bowl receiver had another strong performance against the Detroit Lions in Week 7, hauling in seven catches for 81 yards and a touchdown. The Vikings No. 1 wideout now has five touchdowns to begin the 2024 campaign after finding the end zone in all but one of his six outings thus far.

Jefferson now gets to face the Rams, who have struggled to stop wideouts from scoring. While LA is doing a good job at limiting receptions and receiving yards for wideouts, it has allowed seven TDs to the position — tied for the ninth-most in the NFL. With there potentially being at least 48 total points on the board tonight, it’s safe to say that Jefferson has a terrific shot at hitting paydirt again.

2. Aaron Jones Anytime Touchdown — -125 on BetOnline

Aaron Jones has done a great job as the Vikings’ top running back to begin the 2024 campaign. The ex-UTEP product has racked up 663 scrimmage yards and three touchdowns on 105 touches and will look to keep the ball rolling against the Rams.

The veteran running back likely has a pep in his step after tallying a rushing TD and 93 rushing yards against the Lions last week, giving him two scores in his last three games. Fortunately, for Jones, the Rams have already given up six rushing touchdowns to RBs this season, which is tied for the seventh-most in the NFL.

Jones has also had previous success against Los Angeles in his career. In four prior meetings with the Rams, the 29-year-old runner has 334 scrimmage yards and three touchdowns, scoring in all but one of those outings.

If the Vikings can successfully get into the Rams’ red zone, Jones should see plenty of opportunities to score.

3. T.J. Hockenson Anytime Touchdown — +200 on BetOnline

Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson has yet to play an NFL game this season due to a severe injury. He’s now questionable to suit up to play under the TNF spotlight after being limited in practice throughout the week.

If he’s good to go, though, I love Hockenson’s chances of scoring a touchdown tonight.

The former Iowa product is coming off his best season to date after registering 95 receptions for 960 yards and five TDs across 15 games. Few matchups are as juicy for tight ends as the Rams, who have allowed 407 receiving yards (5th-most) and three TDs (T-5th-most) to the position through seven weeks.

Back in Week 5, the Rams gave up two TDs to Green Bay Packers TE Tucker Kraft. Considering how Hockenson is as good as Kraft (if not better), he should be able to take advantage of LA’s secondary if he’s healthy enough to suit up.
