See Picks & Statistics For The GameWeek 7 of the 2022 NFL season is here as we near the campaign’s halfway point. This week’s Monday Night Football matchup will see inter-conference play as the Chicago Bears make the voyage to Gillette Stadium to face the New England Patriots.
Last week was a forgettable one for the Bears, who lost 12-7 to the Washington Commanders on Thursday night. Chicago’s offense was devoid of any clutch moments as the unit went 0-3 in the red zone and 1-of-4 on fourth-down conversions.
Meanwhile, the Patriots absolutely smoked the Cleveland Browns by a final score of 38-15. Backup quarterback Bailey Zappe threw for 309 passing yards and a pair of touchdowns in the victory while the defense produced four turnovers (two interceptions, two fumbles).
Betting News has gathered the latest Bears vs Patriots odds from BetOnline Sportsbook to help shed some light on the situation, along with a prediction and best bets for the NFL Week 7 game.

Chicago Bears vs New England Patriots Prediction and Picks
Bears vs Patriots Prediction: Patriots 27, Bears 10
Bears vs Patriots Picks: Patriots -7.5 (Best Value: -114 at BetOnline) & Under 39.5 Points (Best Value: -110 at BetOnline)
It’s hard to imagine a world where the Bears have much of a chance to win this one. While Chicago has shown signs of promise at times this year (albeit, those are few and far between), Matt Eberflus’ squad has lost three of its last four games — including the last three in a row.
What’s even more embarrassing is that the Bears were held to 12 or fewer points in three of those losses. They own the NFL’s second-worst offense, averaging only 15.5 points per game, which has dropped to 13.7 PPG amid their three-game losing streak.
On the other hand, the Patriots have outscored their opponents 67-15 over the last two weeks and would be riding a three-game winning streak had they managed to overcome the Green Bay Packers in overtime in Week 4.
It also remains to be seen if Bears QB Justin Fields is healthy enough to play this week. The sophomore signal-caller injured his shoulder in the Week 6 loss and if he doesn’t play, fans can expect to see backup Trevor Siemian take his place.
Regardless of who’s under center in this Bears vs Patriots matchup, Fields and Siemian aren’t exactly threats to New England’s defense. The Patriots currently have the third-most takeaways in the league, which should be an issue for the Bears, who are tied for the fifth-most turnovers with 10.
Zappe hasn’t been perfect for the Patriots, but at least he showed a lot of promise last week. It’ll be interesting to see if Mac Jones gets the start whenever he returns from injury, but for now New England is confident in the former Western Kentucky product.
At the end of the day, the Bears’ offense isn’t good enough to keep up with the Patriots’ attack, nor is it good enough to consistently get by New England’s defense. Throw in the fact that a win would move Bill Belichick into second on the all-time NFL coaching wins list and it’s easy to see why this is the Pats’ game to lose.
I’m taking the Patriots as 7.5-point spread favorites here as I don’t see any way that the Bears can keep up. With Chicago’s inability to score the ball and the likelihood of New England running out the clock after getting a big lead, I’m also taking the under on the 39.5-point total.
